Video Description:
This is part 4 of 5 of my Epstein-Barr virus video series. I’m going to discuss the many natural treatment options that support the immune system, prevent the virus from infecting our cells, and reduce EBV’s ability to replicate in the body.
How long do you treat EBV?
I recommend at least 4 weeks, but it may take 6 weeks or more if your reactivated antibody levels were extremely high.
How do I know when the virus is back in check?
It’s a good idea to repeat your EBV antibody lab panel a month or so after treatment. You want to see your VCA-IgM and EA-IgG (early antigen) antibodies go back down to the normal lab range and not show elevations any more.

@@sunflower8599 Hi Sunflower. While I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that I'll never be 100% again, I'll take what I can get. Most days are a bit better as long as I don't overdo it. If I push myself too much tho, I'll pay for days. It's been a little over a year since I've had bloodwork pulled so I'm not sure how it looks on paper but, if I pace myself and eat a bit healthier foods, the days aren't as bad as they were at the start. I'll definitely take any improvement I can get. Thanks for asking!! ♥️

Another infection that’s worth getting tested for is H. pylori. I’ve seen H. pylori in my Hashimoto’s patients, and there is a lot of research linking it as a trigger for autoimmune thyroid disease. In my experience, the GI-MAP stool test from Diagnostic Solutions Lab is more accurate in detecting H. pylori than the traditional urea breath test. Best of luck to you and thanks for watching! :-)

This has been so informative and helpful to me. Thank you so much for creating this series and sharing your knowledge. Can EBV cause vocal problems? My voice has changed some. Also my signing voice is gone. I used to be able to hold a very long note like Mariah Carey, not as high but long and now nothing comes out. Also when I eat some foods I immediately, even while eating, break out in what looks like acne but it’s not. They sometimes itch. I’ve been tested for food allergies and I don’t have any. i'm 6 years late, but thank you so much for this series. my symptoms and tests have been showing consistent reactivation for a year now requiring me to get ADA accommodations at work for the chronic fatigue, but my doctor made it soooooooo difficult because she refused to diagnose me and kept telling me the tests didn't mean anything!!! so my official "diagnosis" for accommodation just says "fatigue".... Even though my colleagues and bosses aren't allowed to pass judgment, they certainly do. Needless to say, I've been DESPERATE to get better and decrease my stress. Magnesium and Vitamin D were the only things helping, and now I have more to incorporate for treatment and a much better understanding of the science behind it all. Thank you. It gives me hope that I won't feel like this forever.

Love your videos on EBV. I was diagnosed in 2001 with it, via blood test, at the time I was working at a hospital as a speech therapist. It was very life altering. I had to go to working part time for several months while I dealt with this. Eventually it went dormant, but then I had to move home and become a caregiver for my parents. No other doctors, since the one that diagnosed me, has given me any support or really taken an interest in my dealing with EBV. Even the doctor that diagnosed me just told me to take Tylenol and drink fluids. I really found your videos so helpful! I know that you can't get rid of a virus, but I am asking where to start in helping me how to find ND'S and primary care physicians that will take this seriously. Thank you.
