Hi Alexey, even if we have strong apneists in Italy, you are my favorite, congratulations for what you have done and continue to do for this wonderful sport. I would like to ask you what exercises I can do to reduce the urge to swallow while loading the Mouthfill. Thank you ❤

Curious if there’s any other types my brother and I can “click” our ears we’ve never hurd of anything like it? It’s such a little movement I would relate it to blinking and it definitely works dose anyone no anything
@moladiver68173 жыл бұрын
Do you mean the clicking sound when you basically start a yawn but not really yawn but keep your mouth closed? I do that too. Quite often actually because I'm pretty sensitive to pressure changes in my ears.
@Galopo3 жыл бұрын
That my friend is VTO or Hands free eq... VTO stands for voluntary tubular opening, thats the clicking sound.
@LowKickMT2 жыл бұрын
@@Galopo doesnt really work at depth though as the little bit of air naturally wants to go to your feet if you are flipped upside down
@Galopo2 жыл бұрын
@@LowKickMT I've use it til 45m, my pb is 50m. Since friends can vto to 80m. Don't really know where's the limit.

Do I have an advantage with your Wave courses over, let´s say, AIDA or CMAS or do they offer an equal range of information so that it ultimately depends on how good your instructor is? I am currently with CMAS
@LowKickMT2 жыл бұрын
instructor is a big one, especially as there are a lot of instructors certified with multiple agencies. i personally think padi has the best teaching material up to 30 meters after that molchanov arguably is better. aida is somewhere in between, rather cheap course materials (just a pdf). molchanov has the highest skill demands for their instructors, at least on paper.

Can I just swallow if I am snorkeling and want to dive to just 2-3 meters? I feel comfortable when swallowing, and I never ever get the equalization with either valsava or frenzel (frenzel I do know exactly how to do it).. thankss
@MolchanovsFreediving Жыл бұрын
If you keep comfortable then it's works well! When you decide to go deeper you probably will need to apply other methods

why is it hard for me to equalize in a vertical position? please help I am very frustrated.. if you equalize the position of the head above it is very easy to equalize..
@MolchanovsFreediving3 жыл бұрын
You are not alone, this is a very common issue, and it could either be 1) mechanical issue or 2) physiological issue of your ear. Here is a great video from our ambassador Adam who explains this in great detail. Hope it helps and all the best to you! kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6PKhZ2fYpdshNk

May i know if i just fill my cheeks with air at 10-15m & kept doing frenzel T-lock or k-lock. What do we call that ? Advanced frenzel? & What would be the failure depth for it if i didn't learn mouth fill equalization
@LowKickMT2 жыл бұрын
you can go pretty deep with frenzel theoretically. there are some outliers that are pushing crazy numbers. with mouthfill its more pushing in the cheeks to create pressure while keeping the valves open. you could also do frenzl but this isnt really mouthfill, more like a recharge iirc
@AnthonyEpes3 жыл бұрын
Frenzel feels natural for me and want to advance to hands free but am finding it elusive to practice.
@MolchanovsFreediving3 жыл бұрын
It takes a lot of time if you can't do it naturally but it's all about practice. Frenzel still is the "strongest" though
@moladiver68173 жыл бұрын
As a scuba diver I've been doing Frenzel without any training as it just came naturally over time. In scuba we're not really conscious about these techniques. I can also do hands free sometimes. For me it's basically the start of a yawn but with my mouth closed and pushing out harder with my throat. Then when my Eustachian are opened enough they also pop. But for me that that actually takes more effort than the Frenzel technique so I rarely use it. It also only works with minor pressure changes for me and it's far easier during ascents than during descents.
@LowKickMT2 жыл бұрын
@@moladiver6817 you dont need to equalize during ascent lol
@moladiver68172 жыл бұрын
@@LowKickMT Oh but you do if you dive often enough. With thousands of dives under my belt there were plenty of times where my ears needed some extra help to pop. ;)
@LowKickMT2 жыл бұрын
@@moladiver6817 this doesnt even make sense, when you ascent the ambient pressure becomes less. equalizing pushes the ears against an increasing pressure so they dont get caved in

My question is how do i know if i’m doing frenzel? Is there any way to know for sure?
@Galopo3 жыл бұрын
Put your hand in your stomach, if you eq without any movement you´re doing frenzel.
@bjoernfu3 жыл бұрын
You also can try it with empty lungs. Exhale all you can, then close the clotis (make a hah), pinch your nose but not 100% so a little little amount of air can through it and then try with the tongue up and down open mouth, if air through to the nose, then you probably make frenzel
