Please comment more crazy ideas that we can do thankyou to any ideas you recommend 😊😊❤

This was such a great video. Im exactly in that spot. Well so are my horses. The only place we have been able to ride is their paddock for sometime now. And they are OVER it. Especially my 4yr old who I just started backing a few months ago. He's now just standing, refusing to move at all. The only thing I can do to get him to even consider moving forward is take him out the gate to the wee laneway outside the paddock. But now that has become boring too. It's actually been heartbreaking not being able to give them some fun in their lives and some adventures that I have even been considering that they might be better off in a home that can offer them that. Which would be heart shattering. 2 years ago I was able to take my older boy out riding in different environments all the time, the beach being his absolute favorite place in the world. But then I got pretty sick and had to have a few surgeries and had to sell my wee horse truck just to survive not working. Unfortunately I can't go back to work any time soon as one of the surgeries affected a nerve in my leg and I was a veterinary nurse, so on my feet all day. Anyways, enough blabber about me!! What I am getting at is I am just longing to see that look of pure excitement and joy in my boys eyes again. Before I got him 5 years ago when he was 11yrs, he was a fancy dressage horse and had NEVER been out riding anywhere but an arena. The first adventure we went on was at the beach doing all the sand dune tracks. He was so happy that it actually made me cry! Im trying super hard to maybe get a float, but I'm not sure that will happen. SO my question is, should I be unselfish and let my boys go to someone who can provide a more exciting life for them? They have gotten me through the most difficult 3 years of my life, and to be without them would crush me. But their happiness is the most important thing. I would love to know everyones thoughts, coming from an outside view. Thank you to anyone that reads this long rambling comment!!!! I appreciate it ❤

I have this horse that will be trotting and right before he is up to the ground pole he will break into a walk. Can you help me?
@notewoodacres4 жыл бұрын
Does he do this if you just trot him in a circle without poles? Maybe just try circling at a trot both ways a couple of times and try again. If that isn’t the issue, try egging him on with just one ground pole. When he goes over it in trot, praise him, maybe even give him a treat. Repeat a few more times and if he keeps trotting a couple more times, then put another ground pole down. Do the same thing but make sure to keep praising him when he does what you want so he knows that he’s supposed to do that. Then keep repeating these steps until you’ve reached the amount of poles you want. You could also just get off and lead him over one pole at first, do the same thing I just mentioned but on the ground. Maybe if he isn’t a super responsive horse, try having a dressage whip in your left hand and pointing back, ready to encourage him with it if need be. I hope this helped!

@CarmellaAbel4 жыл бұрын
Hello Mandy! I know when it comes to turning other horses out with stallions or geldings that were gelded late, it can be difficult. We had a stallion at our stable and we’re able to put geldings in with him. I wouldn’t try to put mares in with your horse, even if he is now gelded.
