Something I really like about Mt. Lady (aside from everything else) is how she opts to use tools instead of her own body when she wants to do some collateral damage. Remember back in season three when she used a truck under her foot to break into the Nomu lab? And again here, she uses a blunt object courtesy of Cementoss to break the ice (all my puns are intended.) I just appreciate how Horikoshi wrote his power systems and added some semi-realism to well-known superpowers.

Gotta split between the Villa, the “hospital” and a single new profile for just Shigaraki. This is the “hospital” analyzing. Shigaraki is just enjoying the nice view of what he just did with his unending decay wave, he’s equipped and stocked, it’s time to start destroyi- AFO: ONE FOR ALL. ONE FOR ALL. I was genuinely SHAKING FROM goosebumps when that happened my 1st watch. In one sentence this entire game just completely changed EVERY piece of the puzzle. AFO is now Shigaraki’s vestige like the other holders of OFA for Deku, but it’s almost parasitic. His plans fall away as he’s shown something new to pursue. The silhouette of his target emerges. And this fight just starts off the bat at ALL 100 alarm bells going off. Endeavor IMMEDIATELY jumps Shigaraki and erupts with EVERYTHING. Changing the landscape as unfitting as possible for him to both not move and end this fight as fast as possible. He hopes Shigaraki’s body shuts down from the heat. Shockingly to Endeavor, Shigaraki just TAKES it and leaps at him. EVERY TIME you see his hand, you know what one touch would mean. Keep in mind that Endeavor JUST fought 4 High Ends and was blasting everything left and right leading UP to this. And he already had a lot less restraint to work with because capture isn’t really an option with the Nomu’s when they are following orders. So coming across a regenerating Shigaraki that has his full thought process in his arsenal is a REALLY bad combination. And right when Endeavor has him pinned, it starts. There’s the air cannon AFO used in season 3. YUP. Shigaraki doesn’t just have one or two added quirks. He got the entire EMPIRE across 200 years. And by his admission, “it’s like I’ve had my master’s stockpiled quirks since the day I was born.” GREAT. So Garaki just added ONE quirk to Shigaraki and EVERYTHING came with it. And it’s on a man NOT on life support and has been training for the ENTIRE SHOW for this. Oh and 2nd movie reference! That’s gotta be the air shield used by Nine when he blocks Endeavor! And I wanted to explain this next scene through Endeavor’s eyes. Endeavor sees Shigaraki as a high end with multiple quirks and he’s mumbling about something called One For All. And what happens next goes beyond the understanding of EVERYONE. Shigaraki has been investigated for over a YEAR now with nothing of his past uncovered by the government or what lead him to this path. But what they DO know are his motivations which he makes clear. He wants to tear down hero society and is very destruction happy. Endeavor is the perfect opponent to keep him occupied because going after HIM could destabilize the entire country losing their strongest hero. But he doesn’t. He goes to the evacuees. Understandable he wants destruction. Deku: Hey I might be a major target. I’m moving! Let me know where he goes! I’m running clear of the evacuation! Let me know if he goes southwest! Shigaraki: LEAPS SOUTHWEST. Endeavor seeing THIS happen is bar none THE most confusing thing and spits in the face of EVERYTHING they’ve investigated about him. He ignores EVERY incentive that fits his MO, moves ALL of ground zero NOT to the #1 hero, NOT towards his teammates, NOT to the evacuees, but after this 16 year old kid who decided to run JUST now. This came out of NOWHERE and now Deku is WIDE out in the open. This BAFFLES the heroes. And Endeavor is genuinely MORTIFIED by this. It goes back to one of Deku’s biggest and most reliable protections as OFA and how he escapes notice. In real life, there is no such thing as a “chosen one.” There’s no big “savior” and no good weapon against such an opponent. On Deku’s side, his time was numbered the MOMENT Shigaraki said One For All. There is NO reason for AFO to tell Shigaraki what that meant unless he was an explicit weapon against Deku. Right now he is surrounded by heroes and can cover himself as a high performer rather than the exact target. But with so many lives on the line, both Bakugo and Deku know there’s no chance they can stay put. Deku doesn’t have time for excuses or stairs and has to get clear away from his friends that know IMMEDIATELY Deku teaming up with Bakugo is a BAD thing when they only really agree in active combat…sometimes. To abandon their post NOW could not be any more suspect. Deku is putting together in real time JUST how many resources are not pointed at the public like expected, but at HIM. He’s not on the WAY to ground zero, he IS ground zero. He has maybe a MINUTE to decide where this goes down. EVERY quirk reveal, EVERY feat, EVERY second passes you can feel not the presence of a man, but a genuine monster with an army within him make his approach. AFO has an IMPRESSIVE collection of shields, armors, blasters, identifiers, and an UNLIMITED amount of effects. Oh and DECAY. And with the hefty loss of Funkman, all Deku has is his wit, and a prayer he can pull everything together. (Let’s say he died of fright or heart attack. Because he genuinely looks unscathed and not near any decay location.) Bakugo sees the writing on the wall and knows he can’t leave him alone. Bakugo is going to personally confront Shigaraki for his kidnapping but IS aware of Deku’s situation. He’s keeping up with Deku’s new evolved 45% stockpile level. Since Deku is using 30% of his new Mach 13.5 max cap, with Mach 6 45% for moment of impact, that puts he and Bakugo at a casual Mach 4 for the 30% level. Even in this dire situation he wants two things more than anything. He won’t let Kamino happen again, and he won’t stop competing with OFA even in THIS tense of a situation doing what he can to have a race with him literally pushing footsteps ahead, even knowing Deku isn’t going maximum control right now. And the hits keep on coming. Shigaraki shuts off all communication on this field AND simultaneously activates Nomu. And in this new contact vacuum, Deku is now FEET away from Shigaraki. His hand glowing from the hole in his hand as he triggers All For One. Scaring BOTH Bakugo and Deku stiff. Bakugo acted the same way when AFO stood before him just from the fact he was ignored despite how the league chained him down. And Deku acted the same when he was nearly decapitated by AFO’s entrance into the show. That’s the thing about fear. It causes INACTION or PURE flight. It’s why AFO trained Shigaraki to be the symbol of fear. But Gran Torino has rushed the field. WAY outpacing Deku and Bakugo and even getting Shigaraki to flinch. He’s on ANOTHER AFO battlefield. 3rd confirmed. 1st with Nana, 2nd with All-Might’s 2nd battle (we don’t know about the 1st), and now here for Deku. To act as support? NO. Gran Torino and Endeavor are honestly the big juggernauts on this field. He’s trying to PREVENT Deku from acting as the 9th. But if you wanna talk about the BIGGEST clutch, Aizawa has crawled his way from disaster after disaster, arc after arc with a quirk NO ONE wanted him to make it to the field with. He made it. He survived the incident AFO tried to get his quirk in, the Nomu, the camp, EVERY WAVE of Overhaul’s base, the High Ends, and has FINALLY stood before an AFO holder. The worst nightmare of them. Boosted by Manual for longevity on top of it. Even when it suddenly hits us…THEY PREPARED FOR THAT. They KNEW Aizawa was still field active. And Shigaraki is as juiced as freaking none other than All-Might the MOMENT Endeavor sees him move. (Boy are there things to say about THIS I gotta save for now.) Shigaraki still being an Eraser Head fan gives me immense joy. And he finishes off on ONE LAST power play in this episode. Here come MORE Nomu he woke up and had on standby the MOMENT he turned off comms. A never ending disaster this is turning into. I need to talk about JUST Shigaraki on his own structure, specs, AFO contribution close calls, and more because THERE IS SO MUCH.

Since Season 5 aired and that’s where I started doing these, I was handed a rulebook different than anyone else for KZbin comments and I can’t copy paste like the others that do that. (I guess long comments are higher spam risk for some reason) So I limited my channels I do it for. Thing is I don’t just do it for people in the comments section but I’m also deliberately asked by certain channels to do this to see my interpretations and I have a group of friends that act as a team to research this show thoroughly because we want people to see the many details of this show people often miss by oversimplifying it. (Hence the crushing length) I know many don’t like how I do this, but I enjoy it, and I essentially act as the Deku muttering his way through the episodes. And there’s a number of people even IN the comments who help me find more information and where they suspect there would be more to find they haven’t thought about. As for the over-emphasizing…um. Google Florent L’Belle. I don’t remember how it started but I just started typing identically to that character one day and I mainly use it to not lose my place while I make these. But if it comes off as a pretentious jerkwad, that’s because I’m literally typing based off of one for some reason. And that’s WAY too funny to stop.

Ok. Here’s a new profile. I knew this had to be made separately because they just throw EVERYTHING at you. Same grades, same classes, same structure as what I did in season 5. I kept episode analyzing separate. Tenko Shimura Villain Name: Tomura Shigaraki, but the start of certain manga readers calling him All For Shigaraki (AFS) Quirk(s): WHATEVER THE HECK THE WRITER FEELS LIKE. Nothing doesn’t make sense. It’s a 200 year collection within AFO and also Decay. Grade: S Class: Symbol Ok. He’s here. He’s out. There is a LOT of circumstances around what his actual power availability is. And there are just so many statements that are important. He has the bioengineered physical prowess of All-Might, and the full collection of AFO. And it would be WONDERFUL to just say it’s that simple with nothing else to say. But this show has given us a LOT of rules, caveats, and perspectives that change everything about this DRASTICALLY. Because IF it were that simple, there is far too much that stops making sense. And Horikoshi has shown us just how much different perspectives from different characters matter. So my main goal is to say what is possible, and what is not. Let’s just start with the AFO stockpile. Garaki told us it takes 4 months for a quirk to adhere to a Nomu and that’s clearly the 4 month time limit given to us by Hawks about the PLF unleashing itself. So Shigaraki didn’t undergo 1,000,000 or however many quirks AFO has adhering to his body at the same time. He only had the one process for the All For One quirk. And with the access he HAS, nothing seems unaccounted for. So the question becomes how do the heroes get around the quirk stockpile? Because AFO has an answer to just about everything you can think of. And that comes with quirk combinations and his own imagination. This doesn’t SEEM like much but Shigaraki knows what all of these quirks he holds ARE, and he knows what they do, but it’s up to him to choose, apply, and combine. Not to mention raw skill on its own. And there are NO shortcuts to that. AFO has been doing this for 200 years, Shigaraki is 10 minutes in. I mean one of AFO’s simplest combinations in season 3 is air cannon, springlike limbs, kinetic booster x4, strength enhancer x3. (S3E10) That’s a SIMPLE one. And all I have to say is ADD DECAY. HOW FAR WOULD DECAY GO AFTER LAST EPISODE. And AFO admitted he was more than comfortable adding more multipliers to that. And Shigaraki WITNESSED that move. If he remembered, I don’t think the heroes in the lab would’ve been fast enough to escape. You can also gleam a lot from what does AFO GAIN when he takes a quirk. And Season 3 has a HUGE answer. Best Jeanist faced AFO, and AFO one shot him while saying that his quirk doesn’t A, go with Tomura’s disposition (man does THAT make more sense now he was finalizing his collection for Shigaraki in Season 3), and B, its strength is out of practice and practical experience not raw power. So he declined to take the quirk “Fiber-Master” And there’s a point he chooses to use Kurogiri through forcible quirk activation and not his own personal gloop/vomit warp. (Which I think was the quirk that got shoved into Shirakumo’s quirk to become warp gate.) That means he PERSONALLY has to find the right expansion, practice, build skill, AND figure out how to combine them purely on his own. (Which is why he happily took Ragdoll captive where we can assume the doctor removed it and inserted in the original for Shigaraki, but also could have duplicated for AFO’s actual body for him to identify Izuku Midoriya at Kamino) And it’s the combination of all the quirks that make the AFO’s the strongest characters in the show. But if he doesn’t know HOW and can only combine a few at a time, then there’s almost always openings to exploit like any other person in this show despite the constant danger. The more he practices, the better he gets. And he JUST woke up and seems to have no brain issues at all. So hes a LOT more strategic than the Nomu. But then there’s the other side of it. And THIS is the more important one. His bio-engineered body on par but lesser than All-Might. Seems simple enough. All it takes is 4 months of steroids, adding bone layers, and extra muscle layers, not to mention a few other additions, and Garaki has managed to make a body build up that surpasses a quirk that has stockpiled for 200 years straight across 8 people! (not including Deku) You know, in the hands of the man that no two ways around it, MATCHED MAXIMUM AFO using EVERY QUIRK HE HAD AND BEAT HIM. So clearly Shigaraki is twice as strong as AFO. If that sounds ridiculous, that’s because it is. That’s NOT possible. And there’s a LOT of clues that tell us in the show that this can’t POSSIBLY be the case. And there are 3 people in particular that give up the ghost than ANYONE else. Garaki, Endeavor, and Aizawa. Let’s start with Dr Garaki. He tells us that Shigaraki is not as strong as All-Might in his prime. Well…that’s a nice statement and all, but then the next thing they show us is what to compare Shigaraki to. SPECIFICALLY the 1st Nomu fight in season 1 and the completed High End called Hood in season 4. And that’s where things get interesting. Now Aizawa says the 1st Nomu with NO QUIRKS is as strong as All-Might (S1E11) and Garaki corroborates that on the Sound Only TV (S1E13). But that’s where things get interesting. 1 is AFO DISAGREES with All-Might actually being that level. And to compare him to HOOD means he scaled substantially above but still close to Endeavor. Which checks considering the fire damage Shigaraki takes is a little more than what Hood took to a jet burn when he’s hit by hells curtain. So that begs the question how does Endeavor scale to All-Might. Endeavor was ALWAYS behind and never felt like he could catch up and needed a 30 sidekick operation to solve more cases than All-Might…for a single year out of his entire career of being a hero. And that INCLUDES the 6 most recent years, where All-Might has been operating with a gigantic hole in his gut that got his stomach removed along with severe damage to the rest of his digestive system, and respiratory system. Leading him to only eat paste, cough up blood, and have him CONSTANTLY complaining about not being fast or strong while ALWAYS holding his injury if he was deflated. You know the REASON he has a 3 hour time limit and says “Back in my heyday 5 hits would’ve taken that guy out. But today it took 300 mighty blows.” (S1E12) Not to mention Endeavor had NO IDEA about his time limit, his injury, his lack of performing ability, and every other factor that goes into being a hero. Endeavor saw NO change in a man he was relentlessly and obsessively chasing trying to SURPASS him until All-Might deflated in front of him…THE DAY ALL-MIGHT RETIRED. All of that tells us this. Shigaraki outperforms Endeavor by a LARGE margin with no quirks but Endeavor is following his every move and Aizawa can see him too. So that tells us we are talking about Injured All-Might. NOT prime. I know many are sick of me saying that but Prime All-Might IS real and his only known feat that separates him from his injured level is what he did to AFO’s face, and AFO had his FULL POWER then. (And considering the likely assignment to make a body as strong as All-Might, AFO isn't making excuses and WAS at full power when he lost and was simply defeated completely fair, not to mention those really close to All-Might show nothing but concern for him being field active at ALL knowing he's a shadow of what he once was.) Quirks are as physical as your body is. And Bakugo in S2E10 gives an entire speech about how there’s stamina involved in quirks. To say the injury All-Might incurred from AFO doesn’t matter to his quirk goes against EVERYTHING this show builds. All those injuries affect his ability to breathe, digest, pump blood properly…and also run, punch, and channel energy from the OFA stockpile. (Not to say that energy still can’t be there. I don’t think it takes 6 months to wear out 200 years of energy once All-Might LACKS stockpile. So long as he had stockpile, the energy would only increase. If his body can’t channel the energy, that applies the same as much for the stockpile as it does the 1st’s transfer quirk in OFA) And with how much he lost, he’s lowered IMMENSELY. And THAT is what Endeavor can’t keep up with, and what Shigaraki is compared to. So what are Shigaraki’s TRUE specs? He’s on par but beneath Injured All-Might with no quirks where the other High Ends sit, while having every other resistance under the sun, likely no time limit like All-Might did, having full brain access, and a nice helping of literally UNCOUNTABLE quirks with whatever surprises Garaki added as well. This body HAD to be made to accommodate AFO’s quirk as much as possible so THAT is what you want to look at. This puts him above EVERYONE in the cast by a wide margin while ALSO not being so absolutely busted that he can’t be beat here. But let me tell you one thing, Deku is OUTMATCHED and is in IMMENSE danger. As he’s never come close to surpassing his master even while injured, and hasn’t even shown he can outforce or outspeed ENDEAVOR. But will have to replicate what All-Might once did to fulfill the surpassing of his mentor as OFA promises to do one day for Izuku. Deku has only stockpiled about a year vs the 200 OFA years so it won’t be accomplished on his work alone. This makes Shigaraki no two ways around it the biggest obstacle in the SHOW, but the show is not over simply because of sheer antagonist boredom to mess around. It has to still be a challenge for him as well.

I’ve also caught recently by completely removing Prime All-Might as a factor to just presume he doesn’t exist, that certain characters benefit from there being NO Prime All-Might which I don’t believe. And those characters are Endeavor, a character everyone talks about even if they severely dislike or enjoy, and the other is Katsuki Bakugo, the most popular character in the show. (Meanwhile neither Deku OR All-Might benefit as the actual wielders) Sooooo I’m going to keep that in mind for the over-simplification of the two most complex quirks in the show because that says a LOT about why people would try to simplify OFA regardless of everything that surrounds it.

You mentioned top 10 heroes and then listed a bunch of non top 10 heroes as well so I’m a little lost. Am I working with only the current heroes at the Hospital battlefield?

@@tobofu5978 If erasure is in place with the extra support, I would give these characters the highest chance. 10. Mount Lady or maybe Pixie Bob. 9. Thirteen 8. Ms Joke 7. Snipe (If he had armor piercing shots) 6. Midnight 5. Edgeshot 4. Mirko 3. Gran Torino 2. Endeavor 1. ??? (Season 7) This was TOUGH. -I didn't pick Sir Nighteye who while could have the reaction time to keep up, doesn't have anything to do in response. -All-Might I decided not to count just to keep myself on my toes. He would honestly lose from the sheer anguish of knowing who Shigaraki is. But he does just naturally outperform him injured or Prime with Erasure. And with all quirks Shigaraki is designed to face All-Might. -I didn't think many bruisers would be effective, but I considered Fat Gum. -Once I ruled out brute force I went for effects that could incapacitate him and could lead him to large openings to find SOMETHING to effect him. Most characters don't have effects for characters THIS strong so I got pretty stumped. And I did consider pulling from Vigilantes for some of THOSE heroes you've told me about but since I still need to read it, I didn't feel good about justifying those characters much less ranking them on a list with characters I'm EXTREMELY familiar with.

This episode is a nonstop bombardment of just how close we are to instant game over after instant game over for this operation. The fact the heroes got together what they had for the mission TODAY was just a RAZOR THIN LINE between them having what they needed and not having it. And even WITH the correct resources that doesn’t mean they are organized flawlessly either. And that can just spiral EVERYTHING. (Splitting the Gunga Villa and Jaku Hospital fights with a side of extra specs for one Shigaraki that needs its own. This is the Villa analysis) Today we start off with the Generals watching in stunned silence realizing what I just laid out as all it takes is 2 beings to throw EVERYTHING into a totally different mission. Fat Gum doesn’t get to extract Tokoyami himself, but the moment he sees this kid dripping with tears and carrying his fried mentor from a flaming inferno spotted from a LARGE distance and it’s all he needs to know he’s alright…but his face says it all. He knows Tokoyami saw something that’ll haunt him forever in the encounter he had. The heroes are starting to see the more dangerous people in the villains ranks now as they chip down the numbers of the liberation. And even IF they find the opponents they want to really find in this giant riot, preparation doesn’t save you from the truly experienced opponent. (Shout out to the hero/villain in EVERY shot of the riot literally doing a Super Mario 64 Bowser spin. I think they’re rotating the same shot and it grabs my attention EVERYTIME I see them spinning) Cementoss and Geten are a shockingly even match up with Cementoss being a better tank with stamina and Geten having better shaping and speed. And Mount Lady for good measure to keep the path open for the heroes and teaming up with Cementoss. Getting HER any equipment is just an insane combo. I mean her with a freaking CEMENT BAT?! That’s ridiculous! It’s just an insane power play. However, as the heroes try to file in, Toga just appears and REALLY messes people up being the hero that Twice killed right in front of her. (He’s named Eel Boy) She’s FURIOUS and it’s clear this loss has truly just broke something in her. She has always thought with a “not getting caught” mindset and never had an absolute distaste for the rest of the world she and her team weren’t apart of even WITH the life she’s lived…but it’s clear that is changing. It seems to be freaking out Compress, and Dabi clearly seems to be making more mental notes on everyone’s states than showing any emotion what happened right in front of him. He doesn’t have tear ducts true, and his face does make it hard to have lots of expression but Dabi clearly doesn’t seem to be letting anything past a poker face. He really doesn’t appear sad or concerned over Twice and letting his team know. And he doesn’t even tell Compress what happened to Twice at all. What DOES get him to react with a smile is seeing Machia enter the fight. How they got him into the basement in the 1st place is beyond me but he’s coming out! God I can only imagine what the villains in the basement are thinking when he battle roars, and then JUMPS to the ceiling, and rips his way out of the ground that way just behind Toga. You would assume the villains are thinking “Oh we have an opening now that Machia is moving!” But remember the meeting where Redestro and Shigaraki announced the union of MLA and the League to become the PLF? That ceiling is WAY taller than Machia! He had to jump over twice his height to get out! Seeing something THAT big make a leap like that had to be one of the scariest things they ever experienced and these people SAW the Deika city decay occur! Dabi smiling at the boss being awake and seeing Machia do this just tells you everything when one of the ONLY times we’ve seen Dabi be genuinely terrified was when Machia charged right through his fire like absolutely nothing was happening. Now they get to see him active on THEIR side.

One thing I love about Mt. Lady is how her Quirk operates compared to other size-related powers. Greater size shouldn't automatically equal greater density (Ant-Man's full of crap), so whenever Mt. Lady needs to make some collateral damage, she opts to use tools rather than her own body. Remember back in the Kamino raid, when she used a truck under her foot to break into the Nomu lab? And again here, she uses a blunt object courtesy of Cementoss (love the teamquirk on display, there's a LOT of that in this season and the next) to break the ice (all of my puns are intended.) I just like how Horikoshi implemented some semi-realism into own versions of well-known superpowers. It helps My Hero Academia stand out in the superhero crowd.

@@HaydrogenBomb I will never get over the realism and recoil details that come with the quirks in this show. It makes me smile ear to ear when I catch that stuff. I DID notice Mount Lady does use equipment a lot but never why she does that. But I say you're right on the money. Oh and I did put a big 3rd part together for the hospital fight. Was looking forward to you seeing the hype inducing narrations I put together.

the thing i don't like is that while cementoss is cool, people think he's stronger than geten. with geten being actively nerfed this arc since he is only using water from pipes going from the city to this very remote base. while it has a lot of basement routes, cementoss has a lot more cement than water to work with. if they were in a city, geten would've destroyed most of gunga villa (including tokoyami ragnarok since there's no darkness quirks near tokoyami at this battle) with that multi city block feat in the my villain academia arc) since cementoss has not shown control of geten's level even in a city full of cement. horikoshi had to nerf my goat geten 😭

@@aero1349 both of them are nerfed. Geten is better with water he can cool and control, Cementoss is better in the city with more concrete available to mess with not in the remote forest. I’d say they’re evenly matched full arsenal availability considering his final exams and what he does out here.

@@Kaempfdog ye ik i mentioned both of them are nerfed, but the underground tunnel network gives cementoss a lot more to work with, and although theoretically bnoth of them are better in the city, cementoss has never shown any feats that can show his control to be as great as geten in the lov vs plf arc. his only previous fight is against kirishima and sato, and maybe the 1st season finale and he has no other feats other than that.

When I read it in the manga and saw it in the anime, I felt the same death they felt. Like when Deku and the rescue squad first tried to save Bakugo and AFO showed himself. The students felt death and were frozen with fear. Here Midoriya and Bakugo felt death and its shown to us with Decay. Then that thing with Shigaraki letting that EMP out so the heroes couldn't communicate while he's after OFA. The heroes now need to know what they're getting into.

11:52 I'm done with the manga but this... I forgot all the context, I forgot Shigaraki was speeding towards them, I just remembered that the evacuation was happening, and that Izuku was suddenly like "I left something at the school, brb!" And then I stopped reading for like 4 years (hero aca, demon slayer, some 3rd one) So this is where I stopped reading back when S4(?) was airing and it's wild how intense the scene actually was

The irony of Deku communicating with the hero he's interning under only for it to make the problem worse for the heroes just occurred to me. Back during the Stain arc, he went AWOL to fight Stain without any adult backup and had to fight alone (and against the law) until he thought to send his location later. This time, Deku did things by the books and notified Endeavor immediately, but that made Shigaraki aware of the comms and caused him to destroy the heroes' entire communication system. Kid can't win!
