They should be flattered, amused, impressed (well maybe not by the video). Any cover is a tribute, period. This is an awesome song, by an awesome band, and a great cover. It embodies the best of the 80's despite the camp.

Wow, reminiscing. I heard the 1st verse in 1993 and it took me 5 years to know who sing this song. Ever since then, Erasure has been my favorite group. It was good music to deflect Spice Girls music!!!!

I mean, what comedian hasn't done something like that to get a laugh or two...even though this was a serious recording and cover of the song. The main singer of this band is famously gay. That doesn't matter to me though, as the music is good. I like Erasure. They have a weird style in their music videos and the music is catchy. Watch the Erasure video for A Little Respect.
