Just got back from driving across America. Started in LA at the Iliad Bookshop. I got about $75 worth of great stuff! I lugged it all over the country then had to get out because of the chaos. Got the second last flight out of New York! So you could say I Escaped From New York then Escaped From LA!

Wow! Hutson excites you. Fun, humorous, energetic review! I have no problem with right leaning authors. That said, I abhor reproachful leftists or preachy conservatives bashing me over the head with politics. You said Erebus was Shaun Hutson's take on vampires. What was vampiric about Erebus?

The humans who succumb to the virus manifest some vampiric qualities like pale skin, fangs, vulnerability to sunlight, and a thirst for blood. Interestingly, Hutson states in the afterword that it’s a real, extremely rare condition called porphyria that affects 1 in 25,000 people. So basically, vampires are real according to Hutson.

Interesting review. I have a few of Shaun Hutson's books, this one included, but haven't read it yet. I was actually planning on next reading Come the Night which is the same novel but different title as Chainsaw Terror under his pen name Nick Blake. I seem to recall you own Chainsaw Terror. Have you read that one yet? Maybe I'll read this one next instead.

Come the Night is the censored re-issue of Chainsaw Terror, which the publisher pulled from publication shortly after its release. It’s a shame because Hutson was planning on making a trilogy, the other intended books being Chainsaw Slaughter and Chainsaw Bloodbath! I would have loved to see read those. Chainsaw Terror was the first book I reviewed on this channel.
