I’m not an EB apologist, I’m just a commander fan. EB had just a year to implement his offense, while the owner of the team was in bs and selling team, we didn’t bring anyone in offensively to even fit what eb offense,Our O-line was trash, terry couldn’t get off jams, Dotson couldn’t catch, Gibson loves to fumble and our defense never put us in good positions, we always started deep in our end, then they decline to sign a vet qb instead sticking with a 5th round qb, (when Jacoby brisset started our offense moved at will)…even with a 5th round pick qb he still had 4K passing. Y’all said he ain’t a HC cause he didn’t call plays, he goes somewhere to call plays, his plays are long developing but effective, KC runs his Ofeense to this day 😂 we didn’t have talent and talent we had underachieved. EB is an old school coach and a lot of younger players are soft. A lot of commander fans are delulu, we think we playoffs every season, we never rebuilt/rebuild we always think we 1 player away. That was Dan snyders impatience we drafted bad, traded our best defenders. He’s not desperate, he’s ambitious. Sometimes you do unfavorable things to get where you wanna be, commanders failed him.

As a Washington fan I was excited originally about hiring a very enemy. I thought there's no way he could be worse than Scott The one worry in caveat that I had was the fact that Eric benemy does not like to run the football. Washington had the fewest attempts this year of any and he had decent backs Antonio Gibson and Brian Robinson were both solid backs that he could have used more often than the running game. And because Eric being we never ran the ball that much it put a lot of pressure on a young quasi rookie quarterback Sam Howell. So is play calling was not very well balanced That's the first problem that I have with Eric benemy The second problem that I had is he did not do a very good job masking the deficiencies on his offensive line obviously the offensive line was not very good. And a more balanced attack would make the offensive line look a little bit better it would also made Sam Howell look a little bit better as well. Sam Howell got sacked 65 times this year. I know a lot of people will say that's on Sam Howell but when you're getting to the last step of your drop and you're getting hit that's not on Sam how if he sat back there for like 8 seconds and then got sacked that's a coverage sack that's on him. I watched every minute of every game The play calling was abysmally unbalanced and which is weird because Eric benemy used to be a running back. Ultimately Eric benery has a lot to show before he's going to be able to be an offensive coordinator again much less a head coach. I listen to the beltway football podcast which is done by two of the journalists in DC and they were mentioning up until the first preseason game they had not ran the ball one time in practice never practice it until the week of the first preseason game. So obviously balance is the priority obviously keeping the defense honest is the priority and that's why he's no longer the offensive coordinator.

EB failing in DC was more a result of him not having the backing of his head coach. In KC, he could get the most out of players and keep them accountable because everyone on the team knew that Andy Reid fully supported him. In DC, Ron Rivera didn't do that and you could tell in the press conference. EB is the kind of guy that coaches players and makes them better. He is not the mastermind who creates plays and game plans. In a place where the head coach is the offensive mastermind and EB is getting the guys on board, that's a formula for success. In a place where the head coach is defensive-minded and doesn't give EB full support, that's a formula for disaster. I would not hate it if EB came back to the Chiefs to be the RB Coach or WR Coach.

Ok 4th generation Washington fan here( DC resident as well) I wanted Bienemy to succeed I really did. Early in the season his scheme was great and fit Sam Howell’s skill set. Something however happened mid season and Bienemy’s game planning became erratic and unfocused. This in turn seemed to confuse Sam who began to struggle in the pocket and make throws. Bienemy went from a fast pass game off of play action to full West Coast/Air Raid with slow developing route trees way to dependent on vertical concepts. Sam was already prone to holding the ball to long( just look at his college NFL draft analysis) and the switch to long and more complicated route trees behind a below average oline and giving up on the run, lead to a horrible streak of bad losses. In the end EB sunk himself with bad play calling, poor strategy and a lack of understanding what his Offensive talent was capable and not capable of doing.

All this proved that in the NFL that if you get a head coaching job weather your qualified or not you get to bring who you want on your coaching staff weather they are good or not . Mr. Bienemy is still not being given a fair shot and it's not because he's black , it's because he is from that old school of coaches teaching men who to be a man, and these group of players are not wanting to be taught that way . While else is this man nor an offensive coordinator on someone team . And if he does get rehired bt Kansas City it just proves that see his worth as a good coach . Shame on the rest of the league for not seeing it .
