My all time favorite guitar player. Slowhand. Also worthy of mention are Eric's studio & touring band at the time. Nathan East, Greg Philliganes & Steve Ferrone, who later played & toured with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. As of recently Nathan East is still in Eric's band.

Damn, this studio must be haunted! At every chorus (~Bad Love), I can hear women's singing but there was no female backing chorus on the stage!

He's done the playback solo so perfect until at 3:49. Because if remember covering the solo correctly the vibrato finger are suppose to be on the the 20th fret and the full bending is suppose to be at the last fret which is the 22nd frets. But he's full bending at the 20 fret.

definitely a play back and something tells me Clapton wasn't too happy about doing it. his entire posture then whole song was so stiff and thats not his style. i noticed it almost as soon as it started when you could hear Phil Collins in the first chorus lol but then painfully obvious when he completely said fuck it to the second /ending solo.

You can also tell he uses the neck pickup on this track. His guitar is set to the bridge, and he has no rythm guitarist. Why they have to do him so dirty;(

I was super surprised when I heard it was playback. Wouldn't expect in a million years for Eric to do playback. Wow can't believe Wogan did him so dirty like that. You can tell Eric is not happy about it at all. His posture and everything. Plus the fact he is not a good lip syncer hahaha. That's a compliment though of course :)

actually the first solo and all the main riff are him playing they just turn off and on the mic for his amp, you can tell as he is playing the solo then they turn the mic on and then you can hear it, and yeah, he said fuck it for the last solo. Nope hes not happy at all

Lazar Gadjev the first time I see Eric on play back ...it must have been that they did not have proper amps and stuff in the studio... perhaps it is a "news studio"...If it had been "live", Eric would be moving his body powerfully...not looking so bored. However, the others try to act their best. Anyway, they are forgiven!! :-))
