What an amazing lineup! Eric Clapton (guitar/vocal)) Phil Collins (drums/vocal) Natan East (bass) Greg Phillinganes (keys) ❤❤❤❤🎶

All four appeared in the music video, but East and Phillinganes were indeed not heard. Beside Clapton and Collins the studio version features Phil Palmer on guitar, Alan Clark on keyboards, Pino Palladino on bass, Katie Kissoon and Tessa Niles on backing vocals.

I was blessed to see Eric Clapton show in St. Paul supporting the Behind the Sun album. I knew Phil was back there on drums but he was mostly a blur, working the sheet out of his drums. Nothing was said about who was on drums until near the end of the show when EC introduced the members of the band. That was so cool that nothing big was made of it, just a guy names Phil on drums. Oh, and the open act was Robert Cray, who gave a spectacular opening. As a huge lifelong music fan, it was one of the best shows I have ever experienced.

This is my favorite EC song, but it's not an easy choice. When slowhand plays a note, it is so solid, confident and full. Jaco was like that too, no slop. Also I love EC's voice, I try to sing like him in certain ways. Seeing Phil on the drums explains a lot because PC has a kind of drive but he also doesn't play hard to do it. He's a master at tempo. 4 quick takeaways: 1) Greg and Nathan deserve more credit for their musical contributions; 2) not enough fans were aware that Phil is a highly regarded drummer and can combine singing/playing; 3) Eric was a more interesting musician when he played guitar with more passion/soul, as here; 4) the guitar sounds/tones here are somewhat dated these days (wah, overdrive, distortion) but refreshing as well.
