Those two blonde back-up singers are the greatest. This is when Clapton had the best of the best talent in his band. Nothing like it. He was at his peak. I put this on when I am feeling low and it always brings me back to life.

What absolute class, saw Eric Clapton in the Yardbirds when I was still in England, age 14 Wow! Then with Cream, tiny room above a pub in Manor Park, so close I could have reached out and touched him. I was only 18, over 50 years ago. He was magic then and has only got even better. Awesome performance, I love EC's blues but to get a taste of him doing a 'rock' show is something special too. Saw him in 94' doing a similar show and it was incredible. No Mark Knopfler that tour but there was Andy Fairweather Low and he is an incredible guitarist as well. The incredible Nathan East was in the band too (smiling and so funky good) and so was Ray Cooper. Little trivia: EC's drummer in this show is Steve Ferrone who joined Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers in 94' and played with them for 23 glorious years. Thanks Eric and good on you for stopping smoking.

People from Japan seem to really like the blues music Because so many blues artists have performed shows in Japan I can say that people from Japan have very good taste for great music. There’s no other music like the blues. It will get in your soul and you can’t get enough. It never gets old especially when you are listening to Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy and SRV We truly lost one of the greatest guitarist an vocalist when we lost SRV. When I first learned that he had passed away. I could not believe it. He had been through so much trails and tribulations in his life. He straightened his life up and started playing some of the best music of his life. Stevie Ray Vaughan had nothing but love in his heart for everyone. A truly remarkable musician that was so humbled to be one of greatest guitarist in the world Most people that has tasted fame like that. Forgets or does not recognize how they let fame take control over their lives. SRV was truly a legend in his own time. Stevie had God given talent. He didn’t even know how to read music. But he sure could play by ear and just let the guitar become a part of himself Eric Clapton said that SRV never seemed to get lost or have trouble when going to the next note or cord. Eric said that SRV was like an open channel and music seemed to just flow through him effortlessly. This being said from someone like Eric Clapton just goes to show how truly special and amazing SRV was Because Eric Clapton is also a legend in his own time and one of the greatest blues guitarist and vocalist in the world Now Eric has people looking up at him for being such an inspiration in their lives What a great man he truly is also RIP to all of the blues musicians that gave us all one of the best kinds of music to listen to and enjoy The blues

It’s is amazing how many legendary musicians play at Eric Clapton’s concerts It just goes to show how much respect that other musicians have for this man. I’ve seen Phill Collins playing the drums for Eric and for Muddy Waters I love all kinds of music. Rockin Roll,Country Music,Disco,Motown,Jazz, and Gospel Music. Country Music and the Blues both came from Gospel music. My favorite music by far is the Blues Music. The 1970’s to me is one of the best era’s of music ever made by Rockin Roll bands. There were so many great bands. The 1980’s is when the blues kinda got revived from people like SRV and Eric Clapton started playing more straight blues music during this time in music history What a truly great time to be a teenager in the 70’ and 80’s To me the absolute greatest music in history was written and performed at the same time that I was growing up

Whenever EC and MK appear together live on stage there is never a clash of egos as they don't have them. Each respects that the other is a superb musician and vocalist. Shame the same can't be said of McCartney, one of the most unjustified egos of the 20th Century. This concert is a 1hr-23m-27s eargasm.
@whatspadethinks3 жыл бұрын
Completely irrational shot at McCartney who has been one of the most eager and giving musicians around the past 30 years. He's worked with everyone from Allen Toussaint, Flood, old friend Klaus Voorman, Dave Grohl, Scotty Moore, Clapton himself...I could go on & on. "Unjustified ego"? First off McCartney doesn't come off overly egotistical, but if any artist deserved to be a bit of a big head it'd be McCartney! The most successful songwriter in history, a multi-instrumentalist capable of producing music in countless genre's and universally accepted as an influence of every electric bass player since 1964, etc. But he doesn't act like a douche, to the contrary he's very humble and down to Earth.
