Eric Clapton is an in international guitarist, singer and songwriter renowned for his hits “Wonderful Tonight,” “Pretending,” “Call Me The Breeze,” “Forever Man,” “My Father’s Eyes,” “Change The World,” and “Layla.” He worked with artists like B.B. King, Roger Waters, Peter Frampton, and George Harrison - amassing billions of global streams and is the only three-time inductee to the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”
Lyrics:
Some like this and some like that
And some don't know where it's at
If you don't get loose, if you don't groove
Well, your motor won't make it and your motor won't move
Bow-legged woman doing the boogaloo
She got a jive, she got a move
Turn around, do it again
Bow-legged woman, where you been
Fat Jack owns a honky-tonk downtown
You can catch a woman if you hang around
You can tear down the door, tear down the wall
Fat Jack he don't care at all
Easy come, easy go
Anyway the wind blows
Hey, drummer, drummer, can you give me that beat
Can you give me that beat, got to move my feet
Guitar player been all around the world
But he can't play a lick for looking at the girls
One two three four five six seven
Well, you'd better change your ways or you won't get to heaven
Eight nine ten, gonna stop at eleven
Eleven just lays around with seven
If time don't tell you then don't ask me
I'm riding on a hurricane down to the sea
If you can't hear the music, turn it up loud
There's movement in the air and movement in the crowd

This is the true meaning of "imitation is the highest form of flattery". Clapton always gave J.J. Cale credit and worked with him whenever he had the opportunity. He didn't just steal a sample, or remade the song, without giving the original artist credit. Mad respect.

@@petermilne1203 Much of Clapton's success is directly attributable to JJ Cale. JJ had a very distinct style as do most great guitarists. Being that he composed the song and played it in his style, doesn't lend itself to being "helped along".

I honestly think that Clapton worshipped JJ Cale in his own way. Said that JJ was largely behind his coming out of hell in the seventies. Then he just launched into that Tulsa sound era which I just love. Most of his band were from Tulsa at one point. You'd think it would be JJ worshipping Clapton, but it isn't. I love these clips of them playing live together. And without Clapton, we might never have even heard of JJ Cale. Their relationship is a pretty cool story ♥

Cale is Jesus, Clapton his disciple its that simple. They are so perfect playing and singing together. So sad JJ left us too soon, he was a great musician and wonderful human being and wish to God I might have seen him play live knowing more and more Blues greats every day. They are like two brothers to each other and to see how they interact in performances shows it. How wonderful and some people are always on Clapton for what I know not, he seems to always be good to everyone playing with him.

Clapton adored JJ Cale. Claptons hits like "Cocaine" and "After Midnight" are JJ's songs.

Derek studying J.J.'s fretwork at around 3:45. Studying the master. I really like Trucks; he appreciates the old masters and is getting close to being a master himself. We miss you J.J.

I was thinking the same thing. A young Derek soaking it all in and seeming to appreciate that he is playing alongside these two masters. Thanks to Eric for capturing this moment and putting it out there for us to witness.

You had to be a 18 yrs old teenager in 1969 dropping some orange sunshine and smoking Afghan hash at the Forum in LA watching the Stones play was for sure one of the best….all the groups in those days were excellent..it was a time of MUSIC

I got to see JJ in a side tent at the first Crossroads Festival. He was playing with James Burton and some younger guys, he was so humble. I’ve read he was painfully shy, but he was super nice and talked with the surprisingly small crowd there to hear them, maybe 50 people. Really a musician’s musician. He was symbiotic with EC.

Particularly impressive was how after a minute-plus of "chunking" intro, and looking at each other, thinking, "OK, when do we start singing..?" they both came in together... and every subsequent word-perfect verse... This may look and feel ultra laid back, but it's actually very tight..! Nice.....
