This is a fascinating piece of music, and the information on it is tantalisingly scant! (It seems to me that it is actually in D major and not G.) Do you know any more about it? Thank you for posting it!

This does appear to have been premiered in Chicago on January 23, 1914. What is interesting to me is that a three-movement symphony that takes only 17 minutes to play is highly unusual for that date - the symphonic tendency of the time was expansive. Beyond that, if I had played this blind, I would have guessed mid-1920s. So all in all, I am now VERY curious to know more about DeLamarter.

Does the picture depict Lansing, Michigan? This symphony has this post-romantic taste so characteristic of the American symphonies at the end of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century.
