Beautiful. Jimi wrote songs that stand the test of time. These gentlemen did this song justice.

not sure why, but I cried watching this.... The joy on Erics face, knowing where he was a few years back in prison and now doing what he was meant to do.... just awesome.

You Cried because, it's Not Me up there....I Play like Jimi....No Limits, yet I was abused as a Child; so with all My Gifts and Talents, I still can't Face the World! And it's a Big Joke to, that Nigga What's his name, who can't sing? Gales!? Right? Even Eric Johnson knows I'm just as good as he is.....I just don't show it all the time; I play what the Music Needs!

Eric Gales is a big admirer of Eric Johnson's playing. You can tell he's having a great time. And Eric Gales is no slouch himself on guitar. He really should be more popular than he is.
@douglasstaggs15649 жыл бұрын
***** I agree, and he has a killer speaking voice as well. (I pay attention because mine sucks so badly.) Mr. Gales was kind enough to recently have followed me back on Twitter.

Eric Gales must have the time of his life, playing with his idol. Fantastic!
@roccotanto9 жыл бұрын
so very cool. Eric Gales LOVES Eric Johnson, you can hear it in his playing and see it in his eyes. They have great respect for each other, and communicate musically so well together without saying a word. Two of the finest electric guitarists on the planet, and certainly two of the best Hendrix-influenced players anywhere. EJ and EG rocking the house!
@johnc78016 жыл бұрын
Just discovered Eric Gales recently and it seems from most of the duets I've seen, he plays very respectful to everyone whether he can smoke them or not. He takes a gentleman's approach to playing with them. He uses his talent to augment whoever he's playing with. I think BB King once said of Gary Moore that he loved playing with Gary because Gary also played politely and let others shine despite all his (Gary's) talent. BB King said Gary was always welcomed to play with him. Gales seems the same way Gary was. Cool stuff. A true talent.

2 masters playing together, excellent. The really nice thing about Hendrix's songs is they are like classical music songs in a way , s0unds like alot going on with just a few people making one song , they;re like concertos in my opinion.
