Hello bro. Really you have done a great job. Analyzing eric johnsons voicings and pattern is an art and you have mastered that. We need tutors like you. We thank you for you dedication towards us. Thankyou once again on behalf of everyone.

Came here after trying out the tabs. They are flat out wrong! You’re correct. After practicing this for 30 minutes I now need carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand. Thank you EJ.

Brother, your tone is freakin' dead nuts ON!!!! What are your effects??? Before I die I'd love to be able to get that tone!!!

Thanks! This would have been the Strat into a Belle epoch deluxe and a TC stereo chorus/flanger through a couple twin reverbs. I may have had some additional reverb… could have been a Strymon or Free the Tone AS-1R, but wasn’t a major player in the tone

Anybody struggling with the low F in the walk up 'Sometimes all I want to do' section - you can play the F on the 3rd fret of the D string instead...it's not exactly a thousand times easier but it's a little more simple. I saw Eric do it this way live a few years ago and copied it 🤓

Thanks for the videos man... I can't believe you quit guitar at one point with that amount of skill. It's not easy to find Johnson videos done so well...

This is great. You have amazing skills and ears to figure out Eric's voicings so quickly. They certainly aren't easy. I was looking for a challenge and now I have it. Seeing how easy this is for you, I'm not quitting my day job:) This is such a beautiful tune and having the cords to play it is so welcome. Thank you!

Eric Johnson is from another planet with 9" fingers. I've got a lot of reach, but Man! His chord voicing, technique, tone are no wonder he is one of the most talented guitar players. The transcription books aren't the greatest in my opinion, but I just might suck at deciphering what is written. You're pretty close and a lot further than I am, but I only gave it a half hour😂

i notice your quite the strat specialist, what do you consider to be the best strat you’ve played/owned? i’m very torn between a eric clapton custom shop and eric’s virginia. any insight would be great

Depends what you’re looking for. The Clapton is probably easier to play because it has a satin finished neck and the profile is smaller. But Johnson’s signature guitars sound far better, imo

tritonefascination those were my thoughts as well! thank you for the response. i’m leaning toward the ej, i have a first year production model and i’ve always been amazed by how could it sounded. also, i’ve been looking into getting a 150w SSS. do you have any thoughts on who makes the best one? two rock, welagen, amplified nation?
