My wife and I used to drive all over Ca. camping and exploring . We wore this CD out, it just meant so much to us. But this song really stuck in our hearts and we'd look into each other's eyes as it played. This is the first time I have listened to it since she passed almost 10 years ago. A flood of memories came rushing back. Some happy, some not. I'm really glad I listened though. Thanks Eric.

I heard someone refer to Kanye West as a "musical genius" a few days ago. I almost fell on the floor and threw up on myself. We live in such a backwards world where KW is considered a musical genius and 99.5% of people don't even know who EJ is. EJ, you are a musical genius and we thank you for all beautiful work. ✌ my friend. This song is one of my favorites. Beautiful and very difficult to play.

Or maybe they are both musical geniuses in their own genres. Kanye has created some tremendous beats and flipped some samples in brilliant ways. Don’t know why you’d even bring kanye up if you don’t like him. However, music is subjective and if both artists can gain a following from what they’ve created, I say it’s a great thing. The more variety in music, the better!

+Loddentidster I agree. I play guitar too-nothing like him though, and if I play anything and sing at the same time, it is usually something pretty basic. Another musician who can play well and sing well at the same time is John Sykes (ex-Whitenake, Thin Lizzy) Check out one of his solo shows. Eric is a more amazing songwriter though--this stuff is absolutly brilliant and spirtually uplifting. One of the most musical players I think, nobody quite like him

+Loddentidster Playing the guitar and singing is effortless for me , HOWEVER , playing the drums and singing, NO WAY. When you get older your voice changes , plus all the years of stressing the vocal chords. The voice is truly an instrument in itself. Bless.

SImply briliant "musicianship". His use of poly tonal pivoting at 9:00 reminds me of Bach. EJ has got so much more taste, tone, and song writing ability than any other so-called "shredders" out there. Phenomenal musician!

Absolutely astonishingly beautiful music. Just amazing. I am so thankful for people like Eric Johnson, for being so dedicated to what they do. And the thing is, this man will be able to do this long into old age, because I think the pureness of his love for it spiritually transforms him. Go ahead, and laugh at what I just said. I believe it.
