I love this interpretation. Eric Lu plays so beautifully!

In my opinion, Eric Lu's playing at this competition captured the very soul of Chopin. Lu's performances are flawless: simultaneously delicate and emphatic; without a tiuch of the mechanical feeling one sometimes gets from performances of interpreters like Ashkenazy, or Pollinni. Watching young Mr. Lu's ression as he plays, one sees and feels how much he truly loves this music. I hope to see more recordings of Lu's performaces available soon.

for me tthere are two totally oposite interpretations, one is Eric Lu, the other one is Martha Argerich almost 40 years earlier, both amazing yet they are so different it's like Chopin was never a person, but just marks on sheet music
