The Lean Startup methodology has disrupted businesses everywhere. As a result of a more innovative, entrepreneurial-based economy, business leaders have been forced to take a fresh look at growth opportunities and the type of organization they need to build in order to stay competitive. Born out of the startup culture, Lean Startup provides the pathway to business transformation. So, how can businesses of all sizes apply Lean Startup principles to modernize and foster continuous innovation? In this special event, Eric Ries, author of The Lean Startup and the Kickstarter-backed Leader’s Guide, sits down with entrepreneur Leslie Bradshaw, Managing Partner of MadebyMany, to discuss next generation leaders, what it really takes to innovate, and how to create a culture that will sustain.

Absolutely loved it. So many of the criticisms and flaws of the book are addressed here so pragmatically. I'm a big fan of these ideas but the idea that there is no one-size-fits-all nor any guarantee is a great disclaimer. So much of the theory has become more and more practical and nuanced. I'm looking forward to the next book.

What basis does he have for saying that women would not be admitted to YC?

It's 2016 and Ries hasn't updated his book since releasing it back in 2009. He even states in this video that he would not revise his book to incorporate what he has learned since then. This should be a flag. In the world of software development, things like TDD, paired programming and such tend to be passing fads. Contrary to the Lean Startup approach, entrepreneurs should never forget that Steve Jobs built the iPhone without consulting customers. He simply built what he believed was something that would make the world a better place and that millions would want. No hypothesis was tested, no minimal product, no experiments or such. The Lean Startup has no doubt some good things about it, but it isn't the only approach to building a great product.

SnoopyDoo same thing happened to google and facebook, well maybe that's the reason its so hard for us to see the next 100 billions dollars company again after facebook, if all they do is just an incrementalism innovation, only a method that tell us how to survive, but not to create a great product and dominate the world.
