@@TempInHD maybe it's just me then but the techno shit is near insufferable at times. eric and aman and especially their chat are typically very entertaining. the only reason i usually watch botezlive more often is that they often play a lot better music, ill take kanye any day, time, month, or year, no matter how sober or fucked up i am, over the same repetitive hpuse playlist lol. esp since they contain a loy of really long songs with very repetitive and not very creatively used samples that get stuck in my head very easily despite not liking the songs smfh

I always get the impression in Titled Tuesday that it is much easier to finish near the top if you lose early because your next five games or so are against much lower ranked players. Win the first three and you're going to have tough match ups until the end and it seems much harder.

Thats true but you get screwed over from tiebreaks so the swiss gambit is usually slightly worse then if you won the early rounds and lost later, you end up with the same results either way.

Both ways you’ll end up with the same amount of points but with entirely different tiebreaks, if you lose late your tie breaks are gonna be so good you’ll have really good chances of qualifying but if you lose early then your tiebreaks are gonna suck and you’re not gonna make it in the top 8

The problem with that attitude is that you assume everything goes according to plan. If you lose first round you have to win basically every round afterwards to have a shot, so you can't get draws. But if you won your first 3 rounds you are fine with getting some draws when you get a strong opponent and you are black.

Some people have done the same in over the board tournaments to get to play someone who lost the first round on purpose. Obviously I'm not saying Eric did that, you fanboys, I'm just poking fun for the sake of it. Been watching/poking fun for 3 years now. PS, more of a Hambo fan, stealing his repertoire got me victories in blitz, and classical against 2400+ players otb, and to 2520 on lichess at my peak. With wins against many IMS, two GMS (in blitz), and 2563 in bullet, with wins against 8 GMS, including DMITRIJ_IM, which I'm most proud of. I got to 2100 otb, and don't play anymore serious chess, too busy taking care of my family, and working to be able to.
