Richard, these Bassline videos have been some of the best synth tutorials I've ever seen. I Iove your straightforward and informative style. Thanks to your explanations (especially of the randomness functions), I've been able to incorporate the synth into my own workflow with occasionally-joyful results. Erica should send you some free gear for showcasing what's possible! Keep up the good work man. Will be creating a Patreon account to support you later today.

Thanks ! I think it began many years back in a synth band I was in. If someone bought a new bit of kit they'd often give it to me and say: "Can you take this for a few days and let me know how it works?" :)

Thank you! Can the volume of the Erica be adjusted?
@RichardDeHove2 ай бұрын
Yes, but it's hidden in the config menu. If you want something for live I suggest pairing the DB-01 with a Boss GEB-7 bass EQ pedal. It really enhances the DB-01 tone and gives you a volume slider.

@@RichardDeHove Thank you again, you really opend up the Bassline for me, with your video, so many good use cases for it.

how do you change the octave to an entire sequence without having to manually adjust each step..
@RichardDeHove3 жыл бұрын
You can use the transpose function. Shift+Transpose. You can then use the octave up and down buttons to increase the range up or down 2 octaves. Press a step button to select the transpose amount. Press the Select/Gate button to latch it on. You can't save it in this state but at least it's easily transposed.

Re: Random… The ammount of time it took to get a somewhat useable pattern exceeds the result if you just enter the notes randomly yourself😂
@RichardDeHove Жыл бұрын
Very true, depending on the number of notes in the pattern and the complexity of the scale. A good way around this is creating a minimal user-scale with a restricted range. What I'd really like to would be the ability to select which steps would be randomized so you could 'hold' the good bits and roll again for the rest.
