I have a question that im wondering if you could help me with. A while back my sibling dropped my switch on the floor. All was fine, nothing seemed broken. However as I played, my switch randomly turnt off with the only warning being that the menu screen came on. (The one where it has sleep and restart on I believe). The switch then doesn't turn on with the power button and will only turn on if you connect it to a power source (via the USB-c lead). Once finished playing. Enters sleep mode. To play on the switch again you have to connect the power source and wait for it to turn on, where it will then display that menu screen and turn off. You must then take the power source out and replug it for it to turn on and for you to play without interruption. The power button does not work at all. Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated as I haven't seen anything quite like this.

Realistically, a clean room or vacuum clean box is needed to keep dust away. In factories they have such things. I’ve done lots of screen swaps and things and the dust is impossible to get rid of. There is always a spec or two even with compressed air. Dust sticks like glue (static I’m assuming) and has to be brushed off... which introduces more dust lol. I wanted this switch to be as nice as one out fo the factory.

Not important since you sold the other switch, but the thing with it charging only when plugged in one way most likely means broken solder joints on one side of the USB-C charge port, could be from wear and tear, or could be a failed attempt at soldering a new one on/resoldering a broken one. If an incompatible card reader explained touch screen problems then why would the residual water damage (my water doesn't look that dried up eww) be behind the digitizer not working? Wouldn't that be an incompatible part? Did you try reinstalling the reader after cleaning? And I thought you said that first switch with the c port problem needed a new board but you used that board? Was it just the port's charger or was it no av output at all? Was it the the USB gen? Isn't there a c gen thats like gen3 vers 2 or something that's not anything different but can handle full output to HDMI without charging or debugging or something? Also, given the Market wouldn't you have made more money selling individual parts vs a whole switch with grifted parts that are incompatible and unfixable? So now switch 1 doesn't having a working c port AND a bad reader SO it's screen doesn't work... But you knocked off $10 so it's all good? Plus the sponsor money and the YT money and the future rev that it's brought in and the worthless love of a child? I hope that came with free shipping at least.

I got a switch from a friend and it was in awful condition. Very scratched with deep gouges on the screen. For the scratches I just applied a dbrand skin and it looks awesome. For the display, I first tried wet sanding and polishing to reduce the scratches, then to apply a screen protector. Unfortunately I burned through the oleophobic coating in one spot. I didn't think about trying to apply a new coating at the time. Instead I ordered a replacement digitizer, but it didn't work. It would go all crazy when touched near the center. I returned it and bought another digitizer that was listed as genuine original and thankfully it worked. I got a switch that feels brand new for a good price during the scalp-pocalypse of last year

No she couldn't have, at the time this video was put out any Switch in working order would cost at least $200 and that's 100% not including Dock or Joycons at the time. Also switch lite wasn't out either, so she basically was forced to do this to obtain a switch in time to give to her nephew. best aunt!

So you did what Nintendo does already?

Oh boy this was a fun watch, I recently got a switch oled just before Christmas when a local store randomly had some oleds and ps5 in stock, and I won the lottery and did not get a call saying they ran out after my order. A few weeks later all 3 switches are out of stock not just the oled, and the ps4 and 5. I probably would have done this too if I lost that lottery!

Why spend that much for a switch when you can get a nintendo 2ds xl with mario kart 7 from walmart for $100

If you have enough switches to take one apart, couldnt you just give one to your nephew
@elliottjewell58984 жыл бұрын
She bought 2 to take apart, neither of them were fully working, the switch she gave her nephew was the result of those 2 switches.

Have you noticed differences. Between switches? I noticed the back from the 2 switches where different. Also is their a quality difference between where they are made?

My joycon stopped communicating to my switch after I dropped it once. Any chance it's something simple? Hoping I don't need to buy a new one

I wonder how much I could save by going for a docked only switch, I'll probly only need mobo and cooler working, get a third party dock, and it should work
@isolow99103 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's worth it 300 - 274=26 so you save 26 bucks Not even a hundred, it's a waste of time also building when you could get it for 300 dollars plus everything else like cables,dock, etc...

When you build your switch. Can you replace the screen with a 4k oled one?
@slendii3663 жыл бұрын
The switch isn't up to spec to run a 4K OLED display for gaming. And all the games and software are designed for 720p - 1080p gaming.

Crazy what the value of the HAC-001 was asking for last year, nearly $200 for questionable conditions. What is the HAC-001 in like new condition worth in 2022 now?

@34unreal2 жыл бұрын
By the way for the joycons if you have the serial number of the switch there is a Nintendo program that will repair your old joycons that you send to them or they will just give you a pair of new joycons
