The importance of telling your truth as a performer really resonates. It's easy to get caught up in trying to impress others, but authenticity always wins. 👏✨

Nobody will ever show up authentically when we are all too concerned with “looking good” or being “right”

A lot of us overestimate the degree something is happening, in many ways. For me, I often think I'm speaking too loud, I think I'm shouting, but everyone around me can't hear me. Or I think I'm standing tall / in good spinal alignment but I'm stuck in a slouched position all day, and my lower back pain will not fail to remind me of it.

Showing up in your truth as you sing really resonated with me Eric👍❤️...I feel that as I listen to your vocal coaching, I'm getting coaching tips for the rest of my life too.😊 Thank you!

0:37 this part sounds like it's straight from a sitcom with the dramatic twist to a criticism and firing following right after a compliment.

See hold up any ‘Director’ who says to his actor his acting is getting worse and worse’ is not a Director.

I agree! While I fully own that my acting performance was subpar, he wasn’t a great director at all. Unfortunately, even my Broadway clients will occasionally come across similar “I just need more” type of directors, who fail to offer any actual… direction 😅. Lol. That experience sucked, but it’s given me so much more empathy and understanding with my students who sometimes find themselves in similar situations.

Omg! This is my problem not on stage but every day life! A vocal coach approached and said I have talent. Enough for him to want to work with me. Now I m scared! Never followed a vocal lesson in my whole life, I have absolutely no technique and I m like avpd shy! How on earth am I gonna change all this. For me not to hate myself in the nearest future for waisting talent?!

Hardest things are how to give feel through song, and how to accomplish that public "see" song, not singer. I meet only a few persons who can both. They are excellent and so modest, normal persons. And I seen so much narcissist singers who came on stage to show only self, and are hungry only for glory.
