You grow more by taking anabolics and doing NOTHING than by working out consistently without taking them. So being a trapezoidal monster is not really an endorsement of having a better workout. HOWEVER, the pencilnecks with the one-arm cable row bullshit also don't have it right. They think they're doing science based stuff, but with literally no science to back it up lol. Reading a lone article or something with a sample size of 5 isn't science. I keep saying it, Eric trains more according to science than most of these quacks.

He just started a cycle, if you haven't notice the extra volume, striations, density (Or maybe it's just a pump after a workout??? He hasn't done that before, timing his pump before his recording).But anyway, it's most likely PED's affecting his emotional state and his asthma and labored breathing, and also aphasia, brainfarting on words on the tip of his tongue, which is a cardiovascular issue in part high blood pressure. He's huge but not that HARD_SHEEN with WRITHING_CABLES kind of look he has in this vid and a few choice periods iin the past. Not to be a dick, but it's coming across as a sign of desperation, things might not be working out so he feels he has to go back on the juice like he did after his surgery (which was fully justified, same for his on-mat time where injuries require it to recover from the acrobatic wrestling). Hope you're ok, Eric, we all want the best for you, brother. You're big enough, striated enough, and you deserve love. Make the products I dumped in your site email, you just gotta start selling. Psycho-Pharma has proven to be 100% unreliable and is holding you back with how slow they're rolling out your one flavor (still no Bugenberry Blast). Get on the other products, homey. You deserve it but you're fast losing interest from being out of the wrestling spotlight. It's been a year, two really, and you've squandered it to a degree. You need to get your collabs working for you. SzatStrength, Jujimufu, armwrestling, equipment, supplements/foods/drinks, there's so much to do. God I'm listening to the video as I'm typing this and you're so overclocked and spazzing it's kinda scary. Please don't die on us like so many others trying to hold on to that peak physique. Your family needs you and this pinned peak isn't why you're not making it. You're letting unprofitable relationships and old mindsets about selling out hold you back. Just jazz it up and splash out and push PRODUCT. This was the mountain you should have been dispensing from with the wrestling, but now you're here. You can still capture some market share and interest but your products have to be some GOOD ISHT, at the very least exciting. Check out the guy on youtube that sells the GENIUS line of supplements on that Big A store (can't type it, KZbin will block comment, I've tried many times, heh). He's been doing videos on his new line of supplements that are straight up clown-alpha bs supplements with kooky copy and names and promises on the labels but it's all legal so it's advertising on old formulas. There's also cLothing, bags, shoes, exercise accessories (Juji!), and even a muscle clubhouse like your wife alluded to you getting amped up about when you're around other dudes who push you. You need to create the Peewee's Playhouse for lonely lifters club to get people in there. That SzatStrength workout pulling 800-1000-1200 pound lifts???? THAT is what people want and you just being you. Fcuk the scientists, we need to see you BURN IT DOWN. No need to speak their language. You're right so just show em all how.

There is a massive disconnect between what Dr Mike advocates for training and what the pencil necks think he’s advocating. Watch his video with that Chris science cucked evidence based lifter. Says hes never benched since finding Dr Mike and the 1st exercise Mike gets him doing is bench. Scientifically speaking, back exercises probably benefit the most from "ego lifting" and cheat reps. The traps can take a huge beating, and most back muscles are pretty impervious to injury and so upping the weight and cheating on the concentric will lead to a massive eccentric load and a huge weighted stretch which will be much better than doing a slower, more controlled lift with less weight. As long as you're controlling the eccentric on a back movement it doesn't really matter if you monkey hump the weight in the concentric.
@BeginnerMoto
@BeginnerMoto Ай бұрын
Purely anecdotal, but I 1000% agree with you. Recently I’ve been doing back extensions with a barbell in my hands and heavy weight and my hamstrings have been growing better than ever. Been doing the same thing with shrugs and getting great results.
@DCJayhawk57
@DCJayhawk57 Ай бұрын
Been doing heavy cheat shrugs for 6 months or so consistently, and my traps grew substantially, one of my WEAKEST body parts, in a caloric deficit as a quasi-advanced lifter. Back movements are the main area where some body English isn't just acceptable, it's preferred. Heavy stretched isometrics can also build muscle on their own, independent of a concentric, which is a big reason why strongman carries grow the yoke so well.
@lurkingherkin

Yes I also agree on cheat reps for back and traps specifically, the risk to reward is just completely in our favour with this one imo

It's also the area that I believe has the most "safety nets" or support chains. So much of the back muscles connect and support each other, so you have to genuinely be trying to hurt yourself to do real damage with an exercise

The fact people who don't even compete are criticizing the literal Mr. Olympia's technique really shows how far down we've fallen. It's like if high school soccer players criticized Messi's technique. It's like the average UFC watcher criticizing Jon Jones' technique. Funny how all the stuff of back then is "sub-optimal" nowadays when the stuff of back then built the most impressive physiques ever seen. I don't know when we entered this period where everyone is experts and hypercritical of everything, it's annoying as hell. Anytime you see any video in relation to lifting, if the form isn't 100% perfect then you got some mfers in the comments saying that the person should slow down or do it this way. 99% of the time the person who comments is always smaller than the lifter they're commenting under but when you call them out they always use the excuse of ohh they're on gear that's why they're better😂. It's like they don't realise that most of the best natural BBers themselves don't do all this science based sh*t, they lift pretty rugged. There's many that make science based lifters like Jeff Nippard look mid.

Then you go to gym and see a hand full of real solid dudes that you always see and the rest are all just there to hang out or take pictures of them sitting near some heavy weights without even lifting it. It's not that complex. Eat big, lift consistently, lift more over time, push yourself and your limits everytime, stick to basics, and try new things to see how your body responds. That's all this entire shit can be summed up as. No need for lists or studies or breakdowns. Just go do it. And years later when you are huge. You can share and motivate others to do the same and push themselves.

Folks what he is saying here applies to all walks of life. Pick any subject/trade anything and apply this advice. Wanna get good at math? Read the problem, now think and grind, burn yourself out, take a break, go back and grind. The process of racking your brain in solving the problem is the same process he is referring to here. Wanna get good at knowing the major scale? Read the formula, now apply it to your instrument in all 12 keys, sing it forwards, sing it backwards, sing it starting on the second, the third, harmonize the fucker. Life is all about grinding, gaining experience, then using your gained experience to calibrate your next grind.

Also, there are multiple ways to complete a task. It's like these mfers act as though there's only one way and everything else is wrong, there's numerous. I don't believe a single person that claims they don't care about being strong they just wanna look like they're strong.. I've never met a single person that's achieved this mythical state... because it literally doesn't exist. There is no way on earth these twisting reverse 360 cable pulls build more muscle than absolutely horsing t-bar rows like this, and you actually get STRONG training like this. The only part of the movement he's 'cheating' is momentum on the concentric, then he's getting the fabled deep stretch with a massive load? I've been left blue-balled at 10 minutes and twenty seconds of this cinematic, emotional masterpiece. Please, Doctor Density we the people must witness the sequel or the continuation of this motion picture.

Glad someone speaks up about it. I'm so sick of the weak, pencil neck attitude that the gym culture has lately. Needed straps on warmup sets, sucking on the crank of gym machines. Annoying and pathetic

It's quite simple actually. After going to the gym for awhile, you yourself will find out what makes you bigger and stronger and what doesn't benefit you as much or is an injury risk for you. The key is that YOU have to find out for yourself. Try out different stuff and you'll find out what are the exercises your body can handle the best and what your body reacts to the best. That can be only found out by trial and error. No KZbin guru can give you the answers to that question.

Preach! Yesterday I attempted 400lbs behind the back deadlift (my max is 300lbs). The bar didn't move an inch. That attempt was worth more than 20 reps in strict form with lighter weights.

Completely agree with the Chief Chook here. For some reason people care more about how everyone else trains and want to critique every exercise or modality instead of being pumped people are enjoying their training and being in the gym.

5:43 You’re right. They would probably say this form is bad and “doesn’t work the back”, but what’s funny is this would be an inconsistency on their part. The form is actually more lengthened biased as the lats and upper back are being stretched by the weight and you’re never doing full ROM, just staying in the lengthened position (granted you could get more lengthened by letting the shoulders drift forward, but it’s more lengthened biased than not). Just an example of how people take a concept, think they have internalized it correctly, and try to apply it only to contradict the original concept.
