Right. I showed no signs for YEARS. Held down a job, never got sweaty, not grinding my teeth, never saw shadow people unless I had stayed up 5+ days, got so much accomplished, ate 2 fell meals a day, and stayed level headed. This man is describing someone doing meth for like, the first or second time. No habitual user acts like this..

This is so true!!!! I didn't see any of the signs in a friend of mine. She was even gaining weight while using meth and her skin was great. It's not obvious with everyone. It can be shocking to find out. However, looking back, there were definitely signs. There are always are. Her personality and behaviors and eyes changed in subtle ways, but I didn't notice it.

My daughter was on meth for years, she lost her children who went to foster homes. I went to court and was given custody. I raised them until they were 18. One married as soon as she was 18, she is still with her husband and 4 children. The oldest one left at 18, had two children and has been a great mom. The trauma of losing their parents was horrible, the oldest has never gotten over it.

was addicted to what i called a trifecta Meth, Opium, Alcohol. I also suffered severe depression and cptsd. i went to a party and consumed about 2g of shrooms i was lost in my head for 6 minutes but when i came back my depression and addiction to my trifecta was gone. I didn't realize it at the time. The psychedelic experience is temporary but people have good permanent results. 6 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

That's actually how it was for me. I'd get very paranoid after being high for 5 days straight and had severe violent outbursts when I was coming down. I picked at my face and created sores and weighed 90 lbs. I have now been clean and sober from meth and alcohol too for 4 years now and I couldn't be happier. Making the decision to get help was the best decision I've ever made and I am so grateful to still be here today.

The drug didn't make you paranoid. Your brain's lack of rest, from you choosing to keep yourself awake with drugs, causes the paranoia. You could tweak one night, and be fine if you STOPPED, and let your body and brain rest.

I was high on meth perpetually and nobody has ever commented on it. I never had hallucinations or paranoia either... I suppose I just never dosed to the levels some people did. Elevated heartrate? Sure. Really excited and aroused? Of course, but sweating? Out of breath? Nah. Still, I'm sure I appeared manic, but people usually had a positive reaction to me being manic. Being clean for two years, that's the thing I miss the most, the fact people are suddenly not interested in the sober me.
@purfecly_impurfec
@purfecly_impurfec Жыл бұрын
I was also like you. No paranoia or hallucinations. When I saw this in people I hung around with I would think, man, how much did you do? Or think maybe this is just not their drug. I guess it helped I was not addicted to it. I could take it or leave it. It was more of a daily social drug for me. I quit cold turkey about a year ago and really havnt thot about it since. Not gonna lie, I miss the euphoria of the "blast" or the "energy" of the smoke but I will never go back. It's way, way more dangerous now with F***TARDS stepping on it a million times or lacing it before it even gets in your hands. I love that it's my past and not my future.

I was on cocaine for over 10 years before I tried meth. Didn’t care for it the first few times. But eventually I started to like it a little more but never as much as cocaine. I also drink almost every day, alcohol started out as a way to cope with the comedowns of cocaine and eventually got to where I drank everyday even when. It doing coke. All drugs besides marijuana are terrible in my opinion , but meth is by far the worst along with fentanyl, glad opiates were never my thing, lost a lot of friends thanks to that drug. Meth speeds up every organ in your body and I found out quick that drinking while doing meth doesn’t work like it does on cocaine. It intensifies the meth high and made me feel as if i were about to die. Every time I would do it I would end up with blood pressure at the hypertension levels, and all my muscles would get sore. It felt as if an elephant was sitting on my chest. I didn’t experience these symptoms the first couple times I dabbled with it, but when I started to like it a little I had been on cocaine for nearly 15 years. Using at least once but often times way more weekly. As well as drinking nearly everyday. I have not been good to my body and I’m sure I’ve taken years off my life. The health problems aren’t the only bad thing that comes from meth. You end up being a disgusting person, for me I would watch porn for hours on end and slept around with prostitutes, getting syphillis was a wake up call , I was fortunate it was something I could get rid of and not herpes or hiv. You really lower your standards and becomes something your not on the shit. And when you do quit it takes so long to feel somewhat normal again. It destroyed all my emotions and stuff that once made me happy like playing the PlayStation no longer made me happy. I hope anyone struggling or thinking about trying this drug reads this and it helps

What I noticed with meth addicts is: 1) they go psycho, they have constant fear of getting robbed and chased after or suddenly start talking about really abstract and metaphysical things out of nowhere. 2 they have a lot of ticks or odd patterns of behaviour, like always fidgeting with their hair or doing the same movement while walking or singing the same verse to themselves over and over 3) they have really bad skin and you notice they grow older faster than expected like within a year, and have red rashes on their face, that become itchy and because they keep scratching they become irritated. 4) they lose appetite and sleep so they become thinner go on for days without sleep and are awake at really awkward moments 5) they lose their sense of privacy or courtesy, so they can talk about really personal matters with practical strangers or can start a fight out of nothing while they were really patient before

Two things i noticed about addiction: 1) There are things that 'trigger' people to want to give in and do their addiction. It could be a trigger of being around certain people,places,or allowing certain thoughts to occur. Avoid them and that's half the battle. 2) The situations you allow yourself to be involved in directly affect the odds of you giving in to your addictions. Maybe having a few drinks always lead to snorting something,so avoid drinking. Those kind of things make all the difference.

I know someone who goes through frequent bouts of all these behaviors…the hyper focus on certain activities, odd body movements and jerking, eyes wild, teeth clenched/ locked, grinding and paranoia. She has been telling us for years she is taking Adderall. I knew better. Many people take that medication and don’t behave the way she does. No doctor would prescribe a working adult medication that would result with this behavior. Thank you for the great content!🙏🏾💕

Just about everyone is a functioning addict. Until they're not anymore. My brother was a functioning alcoholic his entire adult life. In the army out of high school. Rarely missed work, went to a trade school and became a master mechanic then switched careers in his mid 30's and got an engineering degree in the computer field. Worked and paid his own way at the same time. I have pictures of him his wife and 2 daughters skiing in Breckenridge snorkeling in the bahamas etc etc. I have a picture of him with his daughters at Christmas time being silly and wearing kermit the frog slippers. I dont remember him ever going a night without beer, a lot of it. If there was ever an example of functioning alcoholic, he was it. He died at the age of 43 of pancreatic cancer. His daughters were 16 and 4 yo at the time. Most of us know that we carry a genetic predisposition for addiction. Mine isn't alcohol but it definitely runs in my family

The information in this video is at best a very broad and generic generalization of the different types of actions and reactions a person can display. Some people display all the traits of an abuser and others can maintain and hide it so well that they can appear sober and clean even to the knowledgeable eyes of an ex-user. I read the entire 320 pages that night and I could remember all of what happened in the book. Since then I have read about 450 books (on average 250 pages a day). Hey there Eric. Thank you so much for delving into this topic. So many will benefit from knowing that there is help available out there. Also the fact that they can see you and communicate with you makes a huge difference. Thank You for your channel and all that you do for so many. My, now ex-wife is a recovering Alcoholic and recovering Speed freak and I can tell you what made a great difference in her life was the fact that she actually applied for work with a local Police Department. I gave her all of the support that I could and never let her know what my true thoughts were about her chances of being hired. I thought that it would be a cold day in Hell before they would hire her, right. How wrong I was! I couldn't believe that they offered to hire her. It was originally on a "Trial Basis," but soon turned into full time, she got a badge, uniform, you name it. Talk about a trip for me. Up & until this point I didn't like the Boys in Blue, not one little bit... since this time, my feelings have changed in a great way. They knew about my wife's history but decided to give her a chance anyway and I'm so glad that they did. That was about 20 years ago and she's still sober to this day... and I have the Law to thank for that, for her. To be completely honest here, I almost wish that she would have taken a drink once in a while, because while she is Clean & Sober, the fact remains that she is still a Bitch... and now my ex-wife. Thanks for reading this. Please remain well, clean & sober and reasonably Happy too. Keep Smiling... Carpe the Hell outta this Diem. Cheers...

Hey there @calutron008 . Thanks for your response to my comment. I am truly saddened that you now find yourself in a relationship with crystal meth. Meth is an unforgiving Lover. I know this because some friends of mine, (more than I care to mention), are riding the same tiger that you are. Many began this trip, innocently enough and yet now find themselves behind the eight ball, so to speak. (no pun intended). Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how you met this Lover, but if you continue this, dance with the devil, it will chew you right up & spit out, what's left of you and what's left of everything in your Life that you value. POOF! Gone! Everything, stolen from you, without permission of any kind and with no Apology. This is no Lover but rather a Killer of all things Good. If this were an actual Lover of yours, you would dump them in a heartbeat and without a second thought to be done with them... and rightfully so. Is your relationship with your brother, the Cop, one where you can be brutally honest with him, without the fear of reprisal, or is this a place where you need to tread carefully? I only ask this because he may have access to paths to recovery that you may not even be aware of and these may actually be camouflaged and even unknown to him? I just know that the place that you now find yourself in, is one that naturally calls for secrecy, but cannot be overcome until you shine some light directly on this problem that you find yourself in. Remember this is the drugs' nature, to seduce you and then destroy everything about you, so you are not to blame for the complex situation that you're in. So, if you're feeling any kind of guilt behind this, this guilt is not yours to bear. However, now that you are aware of your relationship with Meth, it becomes your responsibility to do something about this, to end it, once and for all. I wish that I could be of more help to you, but I think that once you begin to look for help, you will find that there are plenty of people out there ready, willing & able to afford you help with this. I know that it won't be easy, but the solution is pretty simple really. All that is required of you, to end your relationship with Meth, or any other Lover, is to simply Not do something?! If only every issue were that simple to resolve, right? I know that it will not be a piece of cake, but I can promise you that you can. With each and every day that passes, that you deny your Lover, you will gain internal strength, bit by bit and you will have a little more strength to resist its calling. May you remain Well & reasonably Happy too. May God bless you and keep you as you now take "The Road Less Traveled," as you become the very best that you can be. P.S. I apologize for writing a Book here. That was never my intent. Also, I invite you to feel free to contact me any time that you like. If you can, use your brother & the resources that he may have. I'm gonna be sending you all of the "Good Joo-Joo" that I can conjure, hoping that it might give you some added strength?! Later, Cheers...

As someone who is ADHD and an addict. I was accused of being a meth addict long before I ever became a meth addict. Meth actually has helped me become more normal. First time I ever tried meth was probably the best nights sleep I have ever had. Decent meth actually makes me a "normally functional adult". I was prescribed basically legal speed aka Adderall. I'm autistic & suspect I'm ADHD too. I'm here to look to see what the signs of meth/speed addiction are because I've been accused by my brother of faking autism to cover up for a meth addiction. I've never taken meth, though I did try a friends Adderall once about a year ago & it brought my mind into a calm focus. I ordered & took a test within 24 hours of being accused, but even though it was negative my brother won't believe it's autism & not drug addiction. The reasons I've been accused is because I have issues eating & with executive dysfunction. The only issue I think I have that was listed in the video is intense focus, usually on special interests though & my brothers not brought that up. It's a difficult one. All the things that are used as signs of meth addiction are all the same things discussed in my autism diagnosis report, with me saying I'd like help with. There doesn't seem to be any help, but you do seem to get mislabeled & attacked a lot for needing it.

I’ll never forget when my I realized my bro was on meth. 6 years ago i was fucking around with coke myself. Had friends over lines out beers going. He showed up after not seeing him for awhile. Which wasn’t weird at the time because we both had our own shit goin on. But he showed up paranoid asf. My house is pretty armed. He took out every fire arm we had and loaded them, my friends got outta there. He was telling me people are are to get him and been following him all day. I’ll never forget the look in his eyes. He was telling me leave the house and I was fucked up myself and refused to leave and said if you got yourself into shit I’m sticking with you than, he proceeds to slap tf outta me and lift me up by the neck and said get the fuck out of here. I stayed until he ended up leaving. I cleaned up and met back up with my friends where they all told me bro, your brother is tweaking hard and then it all clicked. Unfortunately to this day he is struggling with dope now and I don’t have my brother anymore

I lost my husband year half ago to meth intoxitiy and I fought amd rode out every physcosis.. every bender.. every paranoid delusion.. every jail stint.. rehab.. sleepless nights of worrying.. betrayal of being stole from.. lied too.. I'm sure infidelity.. broken promises.. Because I LOVED HIM.. every lil piece of his being.. the amazing.. the ugly.. the hard.. only thing I hated was the demons he fought within himself and he told me more than few times he didn't understand why I loved him so much nor why I never left or gave up on him and how I was only person in AL is life who loved him for him and all his bullshit and only person who hasn't left him at one point.. and reason why he never gave up trying to fight and why he loved me so much and admired me.. Guy at the local shops was on the payphone, but he had it upside-down and was talking about the Russian mafia and how he would kill when instructed. 2 hours later he was still on the phone, talking about frogs and how they are watching. Guessing he was on ice as he couldn't stop moving (tweaking) and his legs were all over the place.

Eric is such an inspiration and sincere hope with a friendly tone that literally speaks volumes as to not giving up. The reassurance that through talking it out and having knowledge is key to moving forward and getting away from the destructive path these hard drugs do when we bond with them. Currently struggling with a percocet addiction myself. I honestly under estimated how shitty the withdrawls could be. So angry that I am 3 yrs in and still dependant on them for pain management. Truly wish I had never started taking them in the first place. 👊🧡👍

None of these symptoms pertained to me. I was hot or sweaty - I was constantly cold. I ate and drank like normal . Not in beginning, but three months into it I could smoke a bowl and eat a pizza in the same 30 minutes. My moods were pretty stable. Things would sometimes set me off, but they didn't set me off into anger; instead, I was just overly emotional. I always chewed gum or mints and never had lockjaw.

I’ve used meth for over 20 years now and since I’m over weight and have always been able to keep my composure, no one has ever questioned my sobriety. I guess I’m what they call a “functioning addict”? But the things u describe in this video only ring true to new users or people who already have some mental health issues that prevent them from “handling themselves” meaning some people just can’t do drugs because they cause their brains to fire in wacky ways! It’s crazy to me when I see “tweekers” who can’t control themselves, in constant motion with feet legs arms hands etc or ones who pick at themselves etc. these people need meds and meth is not it! I mean seriously? Your trying to bite your ear lobe right now? Wait…r u really 39 years old on a bmx bike wearing a back pack at 3:30am??? These people give meth users a bad name! Some of us have rent that we pay, drive nice cars, and have all our teeth. Anyways just say no is the way to go. Facts.

... my recommendation? Do what you can for your friend and if he chooses to disregard your efforts, for your own sanity, I would suggest that you Run as fast and as far away from him as you can. Not to be cruel, but as self preservation, because when something blows up in his life, as it surely will, it's common that those around the addict, sink with the ship, right along side of the addict. Keep Smiling... Cheers...

I’ve never done meth, but have a couple of family members who have been addicted to it. I had extreme anxiety around them which made me feel most of these symptoms. I thought it was anxiety. Could it have effected me somehow just being in the same house? Another question I have is one of them absolutely could not stand music of any kind at all. They said it gave them anxiety. I can answer this. I've never done meth, but I've used coke in the past and I felt that way sometimes too. It's because music is stimulating, and if you're already overstimulated from said drugs, it can make you panic. Sometimes just any noise in general would make me jump and feel super anxious.

@@user-2Hteyasizyc yeah, get others hooked. I’m glad I never touched it. It’s just an evil drug, highly addictive, makes people violent and selfish. or just do behaviours that effect your life their families lives other people around them. The violence I’ve seen. It’s the drug it’s not the person, the person is gone but, it’s never to late to recover and I fully support people’s recovery’s and mental health issues. But violence is never okay. This drug is destroying country towns, young families etc. it’s so sad seeing all the homeless in America or Canada too standing up whilst they “mung out” their mind is gone into that, their souls, bodies, minds, deserve better than that. These people believe no one loves them and that makes me sad cos, they are loved and I wish that they could see that not everyone is snobby. Anyways I see and feel pain. I wish the best for anyone on recovery. ❤️‍🩹 that’s okay we all ‘f’up no one is perfect. At least you are aware and can get through it. There wasn’t enough information available in the past. Now there is cos, it’s become a problem. We all have our own issues to work on. It’s good to get to the root cause and work on it and accept that it is there and it is okay. Wish you all the best :) it’s good to take care of yourself. I’ve had friends die and go to prison. It’s horrible and you can be there but, you gotta take care of you too.
