I am watching the full dvd on release day which is November 12th and I am stunned…..again! Eric just keeps growing and improving with age. He is well past the age where most artists hang it up but his voice sounds as good as ever. His acoustic playing doesn’t get talked about enough. Superior touch playing almost completely finger style and his solos are about perfect. The man knows his way around the fretboard. His phrasing and solo style are unmatched and he never plays the same thing twice. There is a lot to take in here and I am hearing some things in his playing I haven’t heard before. It is so annoying watching him play acoustic in his live shows in arenas because people won’t shut up and listen to him play. Everybody has to scream, yell, and clap in the middle of a song so the rest of us can’t hear him. No issues with that on this video. You can hear every note and he doesn’t hit a sour one at all. He also surrounds himself with the best musicians and you can tell these guys have played together forever. God bless you Eric and I hope you stay healthy and happy and bring us more music like this. Music heals!!!

Now that I read more lyrics, now that I follow Eric more closely, now that I feel what he meant in his words, in his attitude, in his far away eyes, I totally believe I lived the same crazy, insane, blind, fantastic, harmful, painful, unfair, the best love and the worst days I could imagine in life, for only 12 months. Thank you, L. Thank you Mister Eric Legend Clapton. You were always the best for me, and forever will. Now I know why. Thank you for the concert in Rio some days ago! At least this dream came true.

Tausend Dank. Lg

I don't care what anyone says, Eric has to be the most influential guitarist in the 20/21st century. More so than Hendrix. True, Hendrix brought playing to a, then, new and revolutionary level; but even he lauded Clapton. Clapton has a diverse and wide range of styles but always returns to the blues. Also, it is noticeable that, when in the mix with other guitarists on stage, he doesn't demand the limelight and is generous enough to let others have "their moment".

you may or may not know when Clapton first saw Hendrix play live he was ready to quit! Hendrix was a game changer! but they are were both great artists! the likes of which we may never see again!

I like his Cream days where his guitar playing sounded like an electric kazoo. I wonder what the Black guy thought of his vax comparison to slavery? Probably just there for the check. Must be like working with Ted Nugent

Hi, mapp47, I never denied prowess of Hendrix he wowed his peers with his skills and contributed to British Blues scene. Clapton wasn't ready to quit but realised he needed to up his game. It is also noteworthy that Clapton commissioned a strat from Fender to give to Hendrix, who, unfortunately passed away before he could give it to him. Again showing Clapton's generosity of spirit.

@@mr.gerdjackdaniels5189 -were we not the luckiest people who grew up in the 60’s & ‘70’s??? The best of music, paper drivers licenses, NO COMPUTERS, life was at such a slower pace. Compare it to today with all of this BS, really bad lawlessness, and cops who put their hands in their pockets and say there’s nothing we can do when a REAL crime happens. And WE thought WE had kangaroo courts! Let’s go Brandon!

Slow hand grooves . Looks in good form. His Band like fine wine. Real cool playing tribute to the great Peter Green.
