I am watching the full dvd on release day which is November 12th and I am stunned…..again! Eric just keeps growing and improving with age. He is well past the age where most artists hang it up but his voice sounds as good as ever. His acoustic playing doesn’t get talked about enough. Superior touch playing almost completely finger style and his solos are about perfect. The man knows his way around the fretboard. His phrasing and solo style are unmatched and he never plays the same thing twice. There is a lot to take in here and I am hearing some things in his playing I haven’t heard before. It is so annoying watching him play acoustic in his live shows in arenas because people won’t shut up and listen to him play. Everybody has to scream, yell, and clap in the middle of a song so the rest of us can’t hear him. No issues with that on this video. You can hear every note and he doesn’t hit a sour one at all. He also surrounds himself with the best musicians and you can tell these guys have played together forever. God bless you Eric and I hope you stay healthy and happy and bring us more music like this. Music heals!!!

I don't care what anyone says, Eric has to be the most influential guitarist in the 20/21st century. More so than Hendrix. True, Hendrix brought playing to a, then, new and revolutionary level; but even he lauded Clapton. Clapton has a diverse and wide range of styles but always returns to the blues. Also, it is noticeable that, when in the mix with other guitarists on stage, he doesn't demand the limelight and is generous enough to let others have "their moment".

It is also noteworthy that Clapton commissioned a strat from Fender to give to Hendrix, who, unfortunately passed away before he could give it to him. Again showing Clapton's generosity of spirit.
