I have to say that I am fed-up with NASCAR’s lack of creativity and equity in penalties. Pit road speed is important for safety. Yet, NASCAR’s answer to everything is to send good cars to the back of the back of the field, or worse: losing laps with stop-n-go penalties. It is massively unjust to these teams and the fans. Can you ask NASCAR and the teams why narrow wheels and tires isn't a reasonable option to fix the problem with short tracks. If they reduce the width, it would reduce grip and might have a dramatic positive impact on the racing. It would be a low cost solution since it is unlikely that major changes would have to be made to the car. All the teams would have to buy is new wheels which they have to do occasionally anyway. The wide wheels and tires could still be used at tracks where the car races well now. So narrow wheels and tires at short tracks and road courses. Wide tires at mile and a halfs. Why isn't this being discussed as a solution?

That is a domination by Larson and his team and they deserve all this.🏁 Hell of a job. They could pass and executed. Now to anyone mad about this race it’s not Goodyears fault. Be upset with nascar, it’s their car and it’s a “spec car”. To fix this issue you need to fix the HP to tire ratio and get rid of the flat bottom pan. Then we will have better racing but again this is what you get with a spec car, it’s good at 1.5 mile tracks and that’s it. This car is the issue and is easily the worst car that nascar has ever brought to the table. No other gen car has been bad at superspeedways, road courses, and short tracks. Educate yourself and be mad at who is putting this show on people. I love the drivers we have in this sport but the car, points system and thought process is trash.

The 48, 24, 54, 19 and other cars tires fell off and there was plenty of passing just no passing the 5. Larson was faster on the top and bottom lane because he and the 5 team are that good. If you want a permanent fix then raise the horsepower because different seasons brings different racing. But keep in mind, doing that will only make Larson that much better
@SWIXGINАй бұрын
You can’t blame Goodyear for this. This is clearly NASCAR’s fault with this car they need to up the horsepower that is most clearly the problem and if you don’t think so just take a look back in the old days all those cars were way faster and that’s what makes the difference

This race is a 120 out of 100. Amazing race after the disaster the spring race was.

Spring race was extremely better. Night race was boring and disappointing

Remove the undertray and diffuser...we're a stock car series not sports cars not F1!

Old timer here and was at the race. Loved it! No passing? Then how were there only 10 cars on the lead lap? Agree the 66 was a slow moving road block and one should have simply watched him if you wanted to see passing. Old Bristol was a one lane track. The low line. Had to root a guy out of that groove to pass. Years later the high line became dominant. Now, we have the ability to make the track wider. Both lines can be run. Make the cars pretty equal (where a hundredth of a second or less separates them) with well trained professional drivers benefiting from simulators and real time driving data from competitors and we shouldn’t be surprised that it requires a special driver to pass relatively easily. A race with close competition is best for all competitors to hone their skills. I, for one, don’t need to see a lot of bumping and banging with the current restart and overtime rules to enjoy a race. Seen too many recent races where a good day’s work gets destroyed by a late race restart with overly aggressive drivers. That is embarrassing. If fans really want to see that chaos, why don’t we just go to 3 or 4 wide restarts to add to the mayhem, I mean excitement?

Seems like Pirelli isn't the only tyre company having inconsistency in race series.

Eric just to say this I was at the Bristol Night Race I definitely had a blast, but for the most part, the race was just a snooze fest in by the time it became 10 laps to go. I was praying for caution so it would make the racing a bit more entertaining.
@williamgreen6179Ай бұрын
GREAT RACE. Drivers that had good cars were able to pass.
@EricK-fr9feАй бұрын
It’s been a great season of racing. Drama pretty much every week. 14 different winners! Nothing wrong with straight up race every now and then. Don’t forget the top 10 drivers just needed not to wreck. Everyone drove super cautious.
@GrandpaSharkАй бұрын
Yeah, even guys like Reddick running 20th, or Suarez 3 laps down seemed to be just trying to stay in that position to go to the next round.
@FiveStones1SlingАй бұрын
That's it. Too many just played it safe. It wasn't the tires fault. If anything Larson was the only one out there showing out for the fans. He never looked back or let off. Almost finished with an 8 second lead from 2nd and lapped I think everyone except 11 cars behind him. I don't care who you are or your favorite driver. That was exciting and impressive to watch.
@barrettcarpenter1745Ай бұрын
462 is the most laps led by any Hendrick driver, ever. Given their success at Martinsville, surprising Gordon and Johnson hadnnt done that
@claychamlee884Ай бұрын
Most cars were set up ...expecting the tire fall off. When the tires didn't fall off the cars performance and handling took the hit.
@bradf1467Ай бұрын
That was a great race. A lot of y'all are made that Larson spanked everyone. If y'all want to see a demolition derby, go to a demolition derby. This race had shown us who the great drivers were compared to the average drivers. The less cautions there are the better. I personally would like to see NASCAR take away stage cautions, and keep the race going.

@bradf1467Ай бұрын
@@brandonthomas2734 so you like to go to races to watch cars ride around in a parade during caution laps, BORING! I'd rather watch a race where they race from start to finish, you know, like how a race is supposed to be. Oh, and Bubba finished third, I bet that tickled your pelvic bone.

I agree with the gauge this week for sure. Not a fun race to watch in person on the TV eould have been worse
@jscott9360Ай бұрын
This is what Bristol has looked like for nearly 2 decades now since they last resurfaced the track. That's why they put dirt on it for 3 years. That started before the new car. It's not the car. It's the track and the drivers being unwilling to be aggressive and use their bumpers like you have to do on every other short track in the country
