why did this not continue ... becasuse the Holy Spirit doesnt convict the believer after they are saved ... He is sent into the workld to convict the WORLD of sin ... not the christian ... once the unbelieving one has reciieved the forgivenss of sins he is forever forgiven of every sin past present and future ... where does Paul teach to ask God to forgive you of your sins after your saved ... God doesnt remember your sin any longer so He sits there and says to Himself ... what is my child talking about ... they have been removed as far as the east is from west ... FOREVER. Conviction of sin is for the sinner not the saint ... THIS is why the revival waned in power and is no more today ...
