Missing from Eric's 20 min tubeless setup tutorial: Impossible to get tires on the the rim, sealant everywhere, bead won't seat, rim tape has a leak somewhere, valve not properly sealed, bloody fingers, hours turn to days, days turn to weeks, a deep dark anger slowly fills every crevice of your mind, lashing out at loved ones, pushing away help from family and friends, what have you done to deserve this? bike never gets ridden again, you never feel love again, all you see when you close your eyes is tires and sealant, slip into madness, never recover. who have you become? was it worth it? Should have been a golfer.

Try getting a tubeless to seal when it's dark out, muddy, and you've been riding for 5 hours.

We use skins on touring skis and occasionally have to boot pack certain steep sections. We stay mostly in-bounds. I hope that answers your question :)

Weather is crazy right now 🤯 literally bottoming put the tire on the rim on something sharp and cutting the tire. Happens all the time on technical trails and chunky gravel. Not an issue on buffed out gravel/dirt

Only thing I can think is if the pressure is too low the rim can slice the tire sidewall.
