Jd Smith Had this problem, it resulted in a massive amount of just ridiculous looking interceptions, with the ball getting picked off like inches from the ground, or getting spiked up in the air like a volleyball because of collision 🤦🏽‍♂️ , I started having a lot more success doing possession catches on basically everything except check downs. Pressing square (ps4) or X (XB1) when the receiver catches the ball this year, feels like a 50/50 chance, are they gonna actually hold on to it? or drop it 😂 possession is like 90% rate if it’s a smart throw. Even covered, a solid receiver will still make the catch most of the time, unless they get destroyed while their making the catch

By far, the MOST OP routes in Madden 20 is the 4 additional routes you get with the backfield master superstar ability. I've had stretches of games where Christian Mccaffrey racks up 100+ yards receiving running only those routes. Actually, to be more specific, the "Texas" route is the most OP route right now. If you lob it to your RB as soon as he pivots and is facing up-field you are guaranteed 5-10 yards. As for "slowing down" Mack/Miller off the edge; audible your TE/RB to block & release. And the ONLY way to stop Aaron Donald is to press L3 + R3 + LT + RT as soon as you snap the ball to execute the "Eli Manning" and just curl up in the fetal position and accept the sack.

My suggestion is to hold LT first and when they juke go to their side and press “A” on them. That will do a soft tackle so they can break it easier but by then you’ll have another defender to stop it

One thing I like to do against a blitz is for example if its the nickle corner blitzing you would move the rb to the left to cover the blitzer then use the slide protection and slide the line to the right so you have the rb covering the nickel blitz while having the rest of the line focus on a middle blitz and protecting the right side to keep everything covered

Are you playing on all madden difficulty here? Because, I’ve taken the step up from all pro to all madden and have found the difference insane! The pocket gets crushed before I have time to make the first read, blockers get thrown aside when I hand the ball off to my HB and I’m forced into making panic throws and throwing blindly because the edge rush comes in so darn quick. I’m trying to follow the advice here but find that I keep getting obliterated by something different every play. I don’t want to go back to all pro though as I’m bored of going anywhere between 12-4 to 15-1 every season. I want to feel challenged not brutalised!

@Punkie747jhg damn!! User catching solved the issue for me.. Before I did user controlled they'd drop WIDE OPEN passes regularly.. Even short little 5yard slants to the middle.. Bullet pass without holding the jump ball to throw and see what that does... I've noticed the jump balls are typically the ones they drop.

Anyone remember the skills trainers in the 10-13 range of Madden? They had a great pocket presence one, where tennis balls were coming at you from locations and random intervals. You always had to keep your feet moving.

another great video..... Bro, im getting torched by 1 play right side post routes and can do nothing about it. I can even shade over top because I know its coming and no matter what the receiver always-well 9 times out of ten makes some sort of crazy animation catch to which i cant even tackle him with either my corner or safety. You guys just gotta move through your progressions quicker. I do cardinals with 75 overall Kyler Murray and the worst offensive line ever, but I just scan through my receivers quick, starting with the ones that do the long routes because those tell you a lot about the play (if they get man on man, I usually throw it. If they have a safety up top, often I can throw over the middle, medium range. Linebackers have that covered? Short routes with Damiere Byrd kill the defense. But you all have to go through this in like 3 seconds. (Of course, sometimes the quarterback just misses the throw. I can't help you with that, lol.)

Dope tips, pimpin. I have both Xbox and PS4, but i lean more towards my xbox for madden. I tried the high/low passes during an online game about 30 minutes ago and whoa, made a huge difference in my 3rd down completions. I'm a runner since I use Denver, but my passing needed a lil boost. How come in face of the franchise mode if you drive down the field with little time left and are within field goal range and end up on 4th down it won’t give you the field goal and also won’t give you the option to go for it, I have tied one game and lost one game after driving down the field with under a min left and in field goal range for the win on 4th down

The game is def similar in some ways but the adjustments and schemes and game play had me a little fucked up .. I won 28-12 against a whole bum .. He missed both extra points and threw 5 picks .. 3 tips: 1) If you don't have position, you'll lose agressive catch battles 9/10 times. (This means being on the inside or in front of the ball) 2) Never Lob. (Unless it's a goal line fade) Always bullet it or touch pass it towards the specific shoulder you wanna throw to. 3)Make sure whoever you're throwing to has high Spec/CIT.

Anthony Hargrave don’t know which one your talking about but the usual way to beat cover 4 is to take the underneath like slants, drag, 5 yard in, if it’s one of those blitz’s where they get to you right away run a wr screen, rpos work well also cause the linebackers rush and the middle of the field is empty, and the rush slows up cause the run threat.

I refuse to play a qb career because the cpu are gods in coverage, if it’s not wide open its an interception and the pass rush is ridiculous sometimes like “hike” sack before the drop back animation is even complete with a decent line too
