The defense in this game is the worse I ever seen in madden. Mahomes was 15-15 for 300+ yards and 3tds by halftime when I played against him!! I just don’t understand why it’s so hard to make a decent game

⁠​⁠@@anthonyjones3835if they’re failing like that, there’s no way. A drunk chicken can beat the CPU in almost any difficulty with very little adjustment or player interference. He’s losing to people who know how to play defense and offense, and he can only play offense against a sim defense. People are just pissed because they don’t win in PVP, but they smoke the CPU. Playing the CPU is good for experimenting with new stuff, like experimenting with adjusting your defense. But going undefeated in a season against the CPU is way too easy, and then they play PVP and get creamed. They’re two different game modes, and it’s indisputable proof that you absolutely CAN play good defense in this game, it’s just not as easy as playing offense.

Agreed no matter what team I select defense I run the defense is just terrible. Taking away from the fun of the game I know I can’t stop anybody fr so I just focus on being on point on offense

For some reason when my opponent is throwing medium/deep passes I somehow for the most part leave the middle of the field wide open so I hope this helps

Rushing the qb helps, also understating when you’re in must pass situations. Also if you see your opponent keeps going down the middle, try running robber 1 and lurk the middle.

You only need 3 plays, cover 2 man, cover 2 hard flats and cover 4 whichever variant,just knowing when to pick which play is the key, never pick blitz play

What I absolutely dislike about this Madden is that there is no option to turn off match coverage. I can’t remember which Madden it was, but you could turn match off and those plays would play as regular zone plays. I was playing 25 and realized that all of the cover 4 plays in Big Nickel and my 2-3-6 are match plays and I have my safety and CB chasing a WR, leaving the left side wide open for the WR or TE coming from the right. It’s so annoying.

RPOs, flat routes, drag routes, blocking TE and RB. Also figure out if it's a man or zone blitz because every zone blitz has holes in the coverage typically wherever the blitzer is coming from. With man blitzes try zig routes or other quick man beating routes

Brother you do realize that's what "101" means, right? 101 is another way of saying beginner/basic. Yes I make these same vids every year, because every year there are a lot of new people who are getting the game for the first time, or for the first time in years and don't remember everything. There's a reason they do the most views, more people do need this than anything else. When I do "pro" or "advanced" tips, it'll be in the title.
