I am 62. I just started strength/weight training 4 months ago. You are so encouraging!! I am beginning to believe just what you said. I am fucking stonger than I ever thought! Thank you!!

I find it so helpful that you mentioned what each exercise will build. Often you’ll read the muscle name but honestly it’s more helpful if someone said ‘it builds shoulders, it builds the upper back,…’ etc. so thank you!

What you are saying about the mental aspect for me has been so true. Feeling strong has been the most empower thing in my life. It changes my restriction behavior, the way I saw my body and it took my nutty attitude towards the scale. Can’t recommend enough for women. ❤️🙏🏼

Eric! I laughed out loud while watching the beginning of this and shook my head in agreement as I watched the rest. Such great info and, as always, presented kindly and inspiringly. I started weight training 30+ years ago. I convinced two friends to join me at a “muscle gym” because women didn’t train that way in those days. Back then, it was all cardio, all the time, for women. At the gym, we each had our own trainer. It was awesome. I learned so much and trained for years until a congenital back issue coupled with seriously crappy knees, derailed me. I was out of the gym for years! This destroyed my self confidence, my motivation. I put on weight. It was a terrible cycle. I worked out to stay strong to defy the gradual deterioration of my body, but pain won out. Then came lockdown, which took another toll - and then I found you in Instagram. Yes, you help people with how they look and feel, but, for me, it’s more than that. You are a godsend. You got me back in the gym (it’s a home gym because, pandemic, but I have a Universal type weight machine. And yes, I checked with my doctor and physical therapist about working out with my back and knee issues. Green lighted, w some tips and workarounds.) I have always believed - and I proved it to myself - that being strong (and that’s a relative term), having a strong core, legs and arms would help me when I was flat on my back. The feeling of being strong is awesome. I do feel, as you point out, like a badass. Thank you for helping me locate that badass inside me that I thought was gone years ago. You are just wonderful!

I am a 53 year old woman and I started a 2x per week full body strength w/out over a year ago (Wed & Sat) and 5 days of moderate cardio. I love my schedule and have no desire to add a 3rd day of strength so my question is...Would it be better to split my days by doing upper on one and lower on the other? Right now I have about 12 different exercises that I do and it takes me about an hour and a half. I do this from home, I've got dumbbells, kettlebells and ankle weights and a weight bench that I use. I saw a recent video of yours that said leg day 4 to 6 exercises and upper 6 to 10 exercies and if fully body then 6 to 10. I've done all my research myself so I'm always trying to learn and better myself and when I saw your video it made me go hmmmm lol Thanks 🙂
