@IKetoth2 ай бұрын
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop yeah, I'd definitely say for the next "phase" of the gun the bottom locomotive needs more hiding, it's the window and roof that make it obvious IMO, the side one looks fine since they're just mechanical parts. I'd also say you're right that the plasma coils could do with being more evident, they're important so a gun "reads" as a 40k plasma weapon. and I'd say last point of feedback is that when you're building over the bottom locomotive and such you should probably aim to "enbiggen" the whole weapon, make it at least feel a bit bigger, right now it looks pretty comically undersized compared to the titan itself even if it's MASSIVE compared to the other models you've placed next to it

It’s probably too high up to the body and the arm joint thingy is really thin compared to the rest of the body. The gun and the rest looks fine so far, but maybe adding an additional joint to make it more “human” like would be neat. Nonetheless still very impressive for that size in my opinion.

It's looking great. Some people have commented about the scale, but I don't think the parts varying in size from other art (or even models) is anything to worry about at all. These titans were such immense engineering projects that each part would have completely custom made. Even on ships with batteries of plasma annihilators, they probably have several designs due to the need to repair and replace them. Maybe this one was designed to be used closer to ground troops, so the smaller size is to reduce the sound of firing so that it isn't completely lethal to them.

About time a new Imperator video came out! The weapon looks nice in general but there are two flaws that stand out IMO: first, the coils must be visible from the sides as well. Second, the underside train is VERY obviously a train, it needs quite a bit of bits chopping and more gribbling.

A good idea for the foam bits - when doing that initial base coat, use a mix of mod podge and paint-on primer, which results in a durable, tough primer that protects foam and other materials from virtually everything, and doesn't re-activate even from the most aggressive additional paints.

Gun looks good but I think I liked the original grooved muzzle more. The smooth cone looks pretty bland in comparison :/ The plasma coils probably could have been a lot bigger too, rather than a ton of little ones. And for how huge the gun is, it still doesn't look big enough when it's attached to the body 😅 All my personal criticisms aside, the work you've put into this is extraordinary and your kitbashing process is way beyond laudable to say the least!
@terrydewispelaere44902 ай бұрын
Loving it man, learned a lot this episode, never heard of foam clay before. Please do us all a favour and cover up that train on the bottom. All the detail on the engine is nice but cover up that cab or trim it down or something. And as a former kitbasher myself I'm really loving the way the gun arm is looking but it's JUST on the edge of being too small for that body. I feel like it could even use a little more bulking out on the back end to counteract that. You're doing great man, this things going to be a masterpiece when you're done!
