I hope a firmware update allows us to mute the loud connection and app settings change beeps. I have a 300X and a Max. Going to be selling my Max sometime soon, which is an excellent ride as well. Being older with some joint and muscle issues I needed the suspension. I should have listened to people when I was buying the Max. oops. lol
@eRideHero3 ай бұрын
Agreed, haha-it's definitely unnecessarily loud (so much so that when I've got cruise control enabled, I'm sorta timing my throttling to not scare pedestrians going by, haha). 50% volume would've been enough. But both are awesome rides - glad you're enjoying your 300X as much as me.

Is the NQi300X waterproof? Just curious as a new rider myself.

Whats your number one recommendation right now for under 900? Thanks! Love your vids and tool is amazing
@eRideHero2 ай бұрын
Thanks so much. There are a lot of options and it depends what you're after. What will you use the scooter for?
@brunowalkowiak34322 ай бұрын
@eRideHero mainly commuting. I live in pittsburgh so it does rain frequently and is pretty hilly. Suspension is nice but i ride mostly paved roads. Looking to throw it in my car, scooter to work about 2 miles with a lot of uphill, then back to the car 5 times a qeek. Then long rides on the weekend. Doesn't need to be crazy fast, just reliable. Thanks!

I have NIU AIR does yours display show accurate power level. Mine is out of juice with three bars showing. And 49% in the app. Less than a year old about 300 miles, And my weight Is 135
@eRideHero2 ай бұрын
Is it fully charged and then already shows 49%? I didn't have any trouble with my Air but have sold it since because I need to use the space for buying new models to test.

Would you say that the app is annoying to use. Im looking for something that is simple but extremely fun to ride. In other videos i have heard that the app can be challenging to understand.

great review, you should next review segway zt3 pro and compare it to other scooters.

Even tho I have scooters I still watch the videos(scooter fever lol). My daughter is nearly 30 and I want to get her one. Am looking at a few options. She's really short tho so something small. Regards.
@eRideHero3 ай бұрын
Love that! Me too, it's a great hobby! Dunno where she'll be riding or what the budget is, but the Fluid Horizon handlebars can get really low. E-twow models get really low as well.

@@eRideHero That should be a start. Also the KQi Air might be good since she is small and it's light. Thanks for the replies. I'm addicted. Going to ride as long as I can tho. Winter is coming here in Eastern Canada. D'oh!
@eRideHero3 ай бұрын
@Del-Canada tell me about it, I think our climates are quite similar (Denmark here) - definitely starting to feel the cold, haha. KQi Air is a great shout as well - probably the best designed and most reliable of the bunch. 🙌😎

Ive heard so much about the throttle. Is it really as bad as people say? "On or off" instead of a sliding scale people say.
@eRideHero3 ай бұрын
It's definitely quite strong in the Standard mode, but much more forgiving in Chill mode. I would've liked to be able to set it from 1-10 though. Standard feels like a 10/10 where Chill feels like a 3/10. 6 out of 10 would've been the sweet spot for most I guess.

The Niu Kqi 300x unfortunately has a motor heat issue that overheats too quickly on inclines, and switches off too early "as protection", the controller needs to be revised by Niu, but don't think they will.

Interesting, haven't heard of that or experienced anything like that on my rides and I definitely feel like I've pushed it hard.

Is there possibly any cut at like 25km/h if you order it from the official website inside of eu, i just ordered one and im not getting any answers but if you cant help me ill just hope for the best when it arrives.
@eRideHero2 ай бұрын
Hi, sorry I'm late to reply. Yes, all NIU scooters in the EU are limited to 25 km/h to my knowledge. It's a bit of a bummer, but from a reliability perspective, it makes sense they abide by the laws, just like Segway. The KQi3 Pro and Max are "hackable" to US firmware, though, but I don't think newer NIU models are.
@spicychicken122 ай бұрын
@@eRideHero Do you think they’re not hackable "yet", or do you think the 300X never will be? Great review, by the way!
@108mtsan2 ай бұрын
A scooter is never worth it if you can't find replacement parts for it. The KQI 300X uses 10.5 inch tires that no one makes besides Niu so if you want to replace a worn or flat tire, you have to spend hundreds of dollars just to ship your scooter to Niu and have them change the tire for you. Short answer, don't buy a Niu scooter.
