What are the top speeds for each mode on your sccooter? Mine dont matcch what the website says. (Profile 1 (Eco) is 9mph and Profile 2 (Normal) is 15mph instead of Eco (13 mph) Normal (20 mph)).
@eRideHero
@eRideHero 6 күн бұрын
Oh I actually haven't noted that down. But top speed is definitely higher than 20 MPH. Do you have the Pro (Dual motor) or regular single motor version?
@SnaxxNZGaming
@SnaxxNZGaming 6 күн бұрын
@@eRideHero I have the dual (1200). Profile 3 gives me the full speed. Just 1 and 2 are a bit slower than the website says. Seems a few other owners are seeing the same thing, so I'm seeing if I can figure it out. A couple of ppl from the US have the faster modes, and people from NZ have the slower modes. Punk says there is only one version of the scooter though (No different speeds for different regions).

Just bought one in an EOFY sale here in Australia and am very happy with it so far! Glad that I read reviews and comments beforehand which mentioned not doing the firmware update. Supposedly it pulled back on performance so I won’t be doing the update just yet. Another point which was a great help to me was making the start speed 0km/h, which was more convenient than having to kickstart it to get it going.

Every scooter does to an extent. In the case of the Air, it allows the safety alarm with motor lock to work. But yes, it probably draws a bit more than some alternatives. I've left my KQi3 Max for months and come back to 60% charge though

@@eRideHeroHave you any experience with the GoTrax g5? Or GoTrax in general and what's your opinion on their products and them as a company? Last week, I placed an order for the G5 and entered the wrong address by mistake. They cancelled the order and issued me a refund so I could enter the correct address if I still wanted to continue with the order. That seemed off to me, so I'm doing more research until the refund applies to my account. I'm currently considering the GoTrax g5 or the niu kqi3 pro. Do you have opinions on one brand vs the other? And lastly have you thought about making a video reviewing the different brands and how they are to deal with for customer service, repairs, replacement parts, etc? Thanks in advance
@eRideHero
@eRideHero Ай бұрын
@@cutthegrass_yt Sadly, I haven't had any hands-on experience with GoTrax. I've been in touch with them, but I'm based in Denmark, and they only serve the US, so I haven't been able to get my hands on any of their scooters - Hopefully, I will be able to in the future. You may call me biased, but I like what the KQi3 Pro offers over the G5. It's a proven design that every commuter scooter brand should take note of. I'm not giving the G5 any slack, can't comment on it, but Gotrax has a so-and-so reputation, to my knowledge. Good value and affordable, but it is reflected in the products as well. I have definitely thought about commenting on different brands, but there is a huge limitation from being a reviewer in that regard, which is the main reason I rarely comment on customer support, repairs and after-service. These brands know I am a review-They may just give me special good treatment that doesn't reflect what regular customers experience, simply to improve their reputation. Maybe down the line I'll be able to be a "ghost" customer or something like that, haha, but that requires some planning. Hope that helps! Admittedly, I can't comment on the G5, but the NIU lineup (from KQi2 Pro all the way to the Air has been some of the best scooters I've tested in recent years).

If this folded better (not the handle bars) and averaged 3-5mph more it would be the perfect scooter for me. It's too big to stash under my bus seat without protruding so it doesn't solve the last mile problem for me. I think I'll go with the GT Sport, but would love the ride quality of this but oh well

Thanks for sharing your experience with the Air. It's an incredible design. And agreed, foldable handlebars would be nice - but all scooters with foldable handlebars I've tested have wiggle in that mechanism, so unless NIU somehow made a design that fixed this, it's a slight but noticeable decrease in ride quality. But with their design team, I am sure they can keep innovating and develop something great.
