Got my 300x over less then a month ago and I can say I’m glad with the decision I’ve made

I love my 300X. I had to edit this post just to add that this scooter is an absolute blast to ride! So much fun. Very smooth ride too. I also have the same gripe about the twist throttle, but I’m getting used to it. I’ve noticed that once the cruise control kicks in it makes it more relaxing for my hand, so I do appreciate that. Everything Mitchell has said is accurate. Great review!

I love my KQI2, but yes after a few weeks I needed more. I picked up a used Apollo city pro with a few dings on it for about the same price as these. Now I have a machine that rides on a cloud and can go over 50KM, and a nice little scooter for putting around on

I've had my 300X since its launch. I'd say it's the perfect scooter, except i wish it could go at least 30mph. Other than that, I do think it's a near perfect scooter. I think NIU should start looking into a faster 300X or a dual motor model...

Really interested in Nui. Looks great and great performance but in the end chose a segway max 2 for the reliability and customer support.
@JZ850Ай бұрын
is very slow max 2
@psychonaut6074Ай бұрын
Here in Sweden the come nerfed… Every scooter model is capped at 25 km/h (15.5 mph), and NIU also has removed the cruise control. The 300X is the same price as a Segway MAX G2, the NIU Air is 350 eur more expensive. I'm trying to decide which one to buy, since they will all have the same top speed…
@tom2324521 күн бұрын
25km/h is slower than a lightweight bicycle. That's absolutely stupid.
@ScottXiong2 ай бұрын
Fair critique about the twist throttle, you do lose hand placement stability. Especially with the turn signal mechanism, because it doesn't auto turn-off (which it should like on Apollo scooters), so now it causes an awkward discomfort when using the turn signal buttons with your thumb in combination with the twist throttle wrist movement, causing even further stability issues due to hand/thumb placement (from using my KQi Air). Although, the thumb throttle was the weakest link, and the part with the highest failure rate on their scooters. My KQi2 Pro, KQi3 Max, and my nephew's KQi3 Max, all had to have the throttle replaced at around 600-900km of riding, so that's another $100 USD repair job as it's not covered under warranty. My e-scooter repair guy also said that the NIU thumb throttles were the number 1 repair/replacement job, by far, for NIU scooters.

Looks great, but be a little heavy for me to carry around. I've never used a twist throttle, but I have noticed my thumb getting tired from using thumb throttle on longer trips, so maybe it would be better for me. Also, is there a camera you would recommend for filming rides? I'm just looking for something decent and not too expensive.

I have a 300P and live on a hill in Seattle. I think for flat or urban areas it’s a great scooter, but needs more power for serious hills. I probably should have bought a dual motor, but it’s my first and I just didn’t know better. Still, it’s a zippy ride and I’ve had no issues. Thumb throttle is a shrug.

Yeah, I feel like if I had the 300X instead of the 300P it would be just fine with that one big hill I go on during my commute. The 300P still gets the job done for me though.

Hallo! You make awsome reviews! Great job! My question would be, which one should I buy? I dont need suspension, the roads are pretty good, but reliabality, long range and power are prefered. In my opinion the suspansion could be an issue with time, but I would like to know your advice. Thank you!
@Facts_vs_OpinionАй бұрын
My new KQi 300X easily climbs a 1 in 4 hill that defeated my KQi 3 Pro. The twist throttle doesn't seem as smooth as the thumb lever throttle, but I understand that this was the part that broke the most on the older model. The hydraulics on the front don't seem to make much difference and trust me, the roads where I live are terrible (Portugal). I have this weird situation where the e-scooter suddenly decelerates on a downward hill though. I put it down to the latest firmware, which I've heard is a bit buggy. The ability to stop battery charging at 80% is a great addition though, because lithium batteries last longer that way. I'm still doubtful about the quality of the after-sales service in Europe though. I had to email the global team almost daily to get them to do something. Hopefully, you won't have any problems with your new NIU.

Nice review! I'm wondering if NIU can make a thumb lever adapter for the throttle so that users can have a thumb lever if they want one. Just a thought :-).

I’m glad they added suspension, overdue. KQi3 Max tires are too hard and you feel the cracks and little bumps. Brake improvements is a good upgrade. The Max’s brakes lockup too easily. Twist throttles Suck! Wish they made a better thumb throttle system instead of changing the type.

I'm dissapointed the introduction or conclusion didn't mention the horrible customer service and the blatent lying to customers that pre-bought this machine. Endorsing the products is all well and good, but the company is a combination of products AND the service. It should've atleast had a mention in the conclusion. Really makes me feel like this review isn't transparant.
