Henok : can you raise the issue of forceful conscription of peasants and underage ( girls and boys as young as 6-10 years ) . No thing justifies forcing young kids to be combatants. It is a crime against humanity.

Ato Semere : You are speaking as if Eritrean people gave a mandate for shabia to wage war on its behalf. When did Eritrean people give a mandate for Shabia to wage armed struggle against Ethiopia? Why are you overlooking a glaring fact about Shabia combatants : 80-90% of its fighters were forcefully rounded up peasants and underage girls and boys . Do you have a different parameters when it comes to the lives of poor peasants. More of you conversation is centered around the very few elites , who were drunk with Marxist ideology and joined Ghedli voluntarily. Even the elites once they learned what kind of organization is Shabia , they were left with few options, they can not abandon Shabia without risking death.
