I loved our trip to Uluṟu which was about 8 years ago now and would love to get back such a beautiful place. My son who is now 19 is off to Alice Springs for the Finke Desert race with his best mate their first big road trip and they will be coming home via the Oodnadatta so this is has been a great watch.

Thank you for sharing your caravanning experiences in Central Australia, Erdunda, Curtin Springs and Uluru. Your footage of Curtin Springs ignited memories fond for me and my Chinese travelmate, Jassie. In 2017 she was in the first group of mainland Chinese to get a working holiday visa for Australia. She was working behind that bar at Curtin Springs when we met. I was travelling around Australia with my caravan and various travelmates along the way. I travelled for 5 days from Roxby Downs SA to Curtin Springs, without a shower. I was relieved to see the sign at Curtin Springs to take a shower for a few dollars and fill the tanks for free with a suggestion to donate $10 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service. When I went to the bar to pay for that I met Jassie. To cut a long story short we travelled together from Darwin to Canberra via WA, SA, Vic and NSW, then 3 weeks in NZ in a campervan. We also travelled to Nanjing in China. She loved working for the family who owned Curtin Springs and that opportunity changed our lives. We're still best friends and best travelmates. My dream is to sell my house, buy a ZoneRV and just head off into the sunset for as long as I can. Thanks for the inspiration to do that.

With all the wet weather out there I felt sure you’d finally get to see that salt lake beside the Mt Connor stopping area full of water with the island in the middle. Maybe visit number five.

Haha. Keep your shirt on. That was funny. It's amazing how green it is. I didn't know there was so much vegetation out there. Has there been unusually high rainfall, or is this seasonal? Thanks guys 😊
@TheFeelGoodFamily5 ай бұрын
Definitely got our attention and definitely keeping the shirt on!! 😅 the average rainfall is up to 250mm pa in central Australia. They have had above average rainfall but seems to have been in a few large rain events over the last few months so definitely looking more vibrant than we’ve see in the past 👍
