Dustin Runnel's Goldust character really is one of the most unique parts of wrestling history. He did this in the mid 90s when that kind of stuff wasn't common on TV. He pushed boundaries, and then to find out that in real life he is a rough and tumble rugged guy. They gave him this very bizarre gimmick and he ran with it. And he will go down in history. Fair play to him.

adrian adonis was the predecessor to goldust. over a decade earlier. he wasnt as big and physically imposing as goldust but he was a talented performer and deceptively athletic. they even made music videos for him, the whole presentation was kind of mind-blowing for something on tv in the south in the early 80s. i wasnt around to see it back then but you can see him on youtube on mid-south wrestling tapes that fans have uploaded.

That's the true wrestling-royalty of the Rhodes. No matter if polka dots, gold- or stardust. They'll make it work.

This might be the most uncomfortable I've ever seen Conan look lol. Golddust was an amazing character and Dustin really took it to another level

Dustin really got into this character man, totally different to who he actually is. It was totally unique, yeah we had flamboyant characters like Adrian Street, Gorgeous George, Adrian Adonis etc, but Goldust was something else!
