Weird, but my god was he such a great talent. Made what was probably going to just be a throwaway idea and ran with it with perfection, later being one of the funniest sob's they've ever had. Both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. I believe Dusty was pretty against the idea, but then warmed up to it once he really got going. Dustin nailed that character

Dustin Runnel's Goldust character really is one of the most unique parts of wrestling history. He did this in the mid 90s when that kind of stuff wasn't common on TV. He pushed boundaries, and then to find out that in real life he is a rough and tumble rugged guy. They gave him this very bizarre gimmick and he ran with it. And he will go down in history. Fair play to him.

adrian adonis was the predecessor to goldust. over a decade earlier. he wasnt as big and physically imposing as goldust but he was a talented performer and deceptively athletic. they even made music videos for him, the whole presentation was kind of mind-blowing for something on tv in the south in the early 80s. i wasnt around to see it back then but you can see him on youtube on mid-south wrestling tapes that fans have uploaded.

@kleptrep94 No, it's ROH. He has yet to hold some in AEW. I'm sure if Tony's liking how Dustin is as champion in ROH, he can put a title on him in AEW as well at some point.

Conan was always a champ of bringing on wrestlers. Before Leno would only bring on Hogan. Conan over the years had Yokozuna, Goldust, The Rock, Big show, Triple H, Sheamus, Stone Cold, Chyna, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Moolah and Mae Young, Cena, Great Khali, Miz, Roman, and Paige. Jimmy fallon is the only other Late night host to have as many wrestlers on which I appreciate.

My favorite is when they had BIG SHOW on. But not for his segment. I don't remember his segment. I also don't remember the lead-in segment of Burt Rennolds. I remember the last guest, which had Burt Rennolds, and BIG SHOW off to the side, while Conan talked to a woman who had a lot of sex toys. She's in her 80s or 90s, and she has a chin dildo, and she's flapping it around like a cartoon character. It's just a dildo flapping off her chin. And Andy makes this comment about "Only girlfriends with small endowed boyfriends would buy these". And they cut to a shot of Burt Reynolds, and BIG SHOW posing all cocky like "Yeah, I wouldn't know anything about that...." And BIG SHOW says "Look at my pinky, and tell me any part of me is small." Meanwhile Conan is turning red from laughing so hard at the absurdity of it all.
