Dustin Runnel's Goldust character really is one of the most unique parts of wrestling history. He did this in the mid 90s when that kind of stuff wasn't common on TV. He pushed boundaries, and then to find out that in real life he is a rough and tumble rugged guy. They gave him this very bizarre gimmick and he ran with it. And he will go down in history. Fair play to him.

adrian adonis was the predecessor to goldust. over a decade earlier. he wasnt as big and physically imposing as goldust but he was a talented performer and deceptively athletic. they even made music videos for him, the whole presentation was kind of mind-blowing for something on tv in the south in the early 80s. i wasnt around to see it back then but you can see him on youtube on mid-south wrestling tapes that fans have uploaded.

These days wrestlers usually just show up as who they are in real life. Now its more like an actor just talking about a roll they are playing. I loved when they were the same person in an interview that they were in the ring. Pre internet I actually believed they really were like the characters they portrayed lol. The only reason why I watched this video, it's because her former wife, Terri Runnels: she's too perfect to be true and until this day she's by far the hottest woman ever in WWE history.

Had me smiling throughout and in stitches when security got rubbed the wrong way, in the original Goldust way!! We met Terri Runnels at a meet & greet with Kane, back in 2001, super nice lady, so down to earth unlike her many wrestling personas

The skits between him & Booker T was all time great. Funny enough they didn't have to wrestle in the ring just do those skits & get paid.
