Erratic Wipers? 2004 Dodge Ram Wiper Motor/Module Replacement

My 2004 Didge Ram 2500 has erratic windshield wipers. From what I have read, this is due the the wiper module which is part of the motor and linkage assembly. So I got the replacement parts from dodge and now I will show you how to install the wiper motor assembly. Hopefully you find this helpful.

Thank you so much for this! Just got done putting the new one in my 2004 1500. I had an "oh crap" moment when there was a 5 pin on the new one and my old one was 4, but then realized the new one came with an adapter plugged into it. Took that off and it was the 4 pin I needed.

Thanks for the assistance from watching your video. I had a wiper motor that only worked sometimes on my 2005 RAM. Ordered a new motor and used your guidance to remove the old one and install the new one. Much cheaper than taking the truck in to a mechanic.

Ok, this video is SUPER Helpful!! I have an 04’ Dodge Durango SLT, and when I crank the engine on my wipers are coming on all by themselves!! I have to turn the wipers on then try to catch they are down and turn them off because they do not want to return to the down position by themselves😩 I was thinking it was definitely the wiper motor, but I will definitely try the relay first!! Thank You for this video!!

Sir tip of the hat to you. Yes you helped me. I thought I was losing my mind with mine, stupid thing would work whenever it wanted. So thank you again. Yours is a diesel mine is gas my trouble is my heater control whatever it is. It’s vacuum operated so defrost is default . Mine blows out of the top of the dash all the damn time. At least 50% my EYES. Wondering if you have dealt with this. Thank you near Seattle

Glad I could help. That wiper issue is pretty crazy. I haven't dealt with any problems with my heater control. I would go under the dash and find the blend door that controls the defrost and see if it's stuck.

@DJsHotRodFab my wipers are possessd. I dumping rain and they said NOPE clocked out. The heater dumpster fire I have heard it's vacuum leak. I can see the diagram but that's useless. Any hoo thanks mate

I'm having the same exact issue now . I have a 2 part question . Did you replace with oem or after market? And if aftermarket have you ha e any issue ? I know some stuff like fan clutch need to be oem it wont regulate correctly

I went OEM with this one. I think the part wasn't available at the parts store.

Yes. I don't think the washers ever stopped working.
