Thank you for this! May I recommend giving this video a different title - It's very hard to find in a search. Maybe include "Fujitsu" "split" "heat pump""cover" "falling" "crashing" and some other words associated with what people may search for to find information on this issue.

Hi Jason, door closing fine with the tape trick but the code is still flashing every once in a while if you touch it or move it the door will open up then it goes back to code 58 again, Is there any way to bypass the code 58. Thanks.

Hi Jason,My exact unit i noticed the door is closed while still running and there is no codes,i did hear a pop the other day but didnt know what it was,i tried your electricsl tape trick with no luck,it seems to be locking fine but do will not open when in use and again no codes,any suggestions?

xa Ham yea you can put a small piece of a business card n wedge between the clip and the case where the clip is located

the inner piece is snapping very tighly,but the top door seems very floppy compaired to my other unit but will not open,but unit runs fine ,thought maybe youd say a gear is stripped or something

xa Ham yes if the door doesn't open there is a gear that can be replaced to fix this. You can find from the Fujitsu general website.
