I love this woman! I heard her music when i was very young, my dad used to play it all the time. I didn't understand a word at that time because my mother tongue is not english, but there was something really special in her music that i felt then. It relaxed me, made me feel safe and took me to another place. A dream land. Many years later i listen to her still. Her music never gets boring, never gets old, same as her spirit. She has such a nice way of speaking and writing rhymes, very poetic but still very direct. I hope she'll read this cause i want her to know how she made me feel. Her music is meditation. I remember I saw Erykah live in London's Wembley arena. She was an opening act for Nas & Damian Marley. I didn't completely understand who she was at the time but I always said to myself that I just witnessed something incredible. Part of her performance was improvised using an MPC drum machine, hitting out different drums and samples as she sang. I'm preparing to release my first free instrumental EP in the upcoming weeks.
