Hello and welcome,
Here we have two super razors a Wutz Wheatsheaf hand forged straight razor, they are not so common as they focused mainly on other tools but the razors are proper top notch and this has a nice smiling profile which is great and to me some of the best razors have a smile to them.
The other straight is from the famous Ern staple and are just great razors in every way, top notch steel and of course some of the best grinding seeing as Mr Ern invented the first true hollow grinding machine called the Hexe.
A great relaxing shave was had by 2 great razors ready for their next adventure in their already storied history.

I like how you phrased it… if you can’t have a relaxing shave it’s best to leave it for another time and enjoy yourself. Great content, kind regards from Puerto Rico!

Thanks Sean, I'm in no rush and never want it to become a chore, which in a way I don't think is possible with straights. I didn't know you were from Puerto Rico, never been but it looks like a very beautiful country. Thanks for watching

Cheers! I’m becoming a big fan. I purvey KZbin channels (and contribute to the horrid judgement of books by their covers as the case may be) anyway I digress. I land repeatedly on your channel, of course I’m subscribed so it’s not by chance. You’re a handsome man with a pleasant voice and I’d have figured you for a g-man and to my surprise you are a working class man enjoying the finer things in life. If I may get personal, I became an insulin dependent diabetic some time ago and the diagnosis to move me to a pump, while delayed, has made an immense difference. I’d speculate you are on the right path losing weight and exercising more - everyone could use more of that! Be well informed, of course, of medications they recommend and don’t lose heart. Ciao

Thanks for watching Larry and ta very much on the compliments. What's your definition of a g man? This is new to me and there's quite a few different explanations on the olde inter web. Very much working class and proud of it, I come from a long line of hard working men on both sides of my family. No not at all you carry on, I'm quite well versed in nutrition as i was avid weight trainer from my teens into my 30's, it's the carbs that are mostly causing us damage we quite simply do not need many carbs to function right, they are of course very important but just not in great quantity. I'm aiming for about 87 to 88kg anymore than that and my work gets harder as I need to maintain my strength, which comes combined with weight. What I'm doing is definitely working as I'm leaning out without losing muscle as much and its coming off pretty slow as well so my calorie intake is not miles off.

@@Sustainashave all I meant by G-man was quintessential government type or maybe a news anchor. I come from mechanics on one side and woodworkers on the other. Been watching a yasuki steel kamisori - going to dip my toe in modern day tamahagane … I’ll let you know how that goes 😁

Hi. Nice shave. Wanted to ask. Do you like hanging or paddle / bench strops better? Thx

Hello Bud, I like both to be honest and they both serve different purposes, I use pasted paddle strops straight of the stones as I feel it helps get rid of the micro burr's, diamond paste 1 micron to .50 to then .25 micron. Then the razor is on to a fine linen hanging strop and finally onto a fast no drag horse strop. I've also got a thick bridle leather strop that I made in the bathroom that lives in there which I use before and after shaves. I always say short wide paddle strops are a good way to start out as all you need is a piece of leather and a flat piece of wood to glue it to. It also means you don't need to worry about how taught the strop is being held, so less chance of rolling the edge over and also your getting your technique down before buying a nice hanging strop.
