One of the saddest things I've ever heard was when Jordan talked about watching Justin Bieber and she saw such a difference between the way she lived and the way he lived that she was "blow-minded". I'm also thinking of her first conversation with the policeman when she didn't know the meaning of the words "medication" or "injuries". And she was 17 years old! Those parents have a lot to answer for and I'm not sure the prison sentences they received even come close to giving justice for what they did to their children. I hope Jordan and Jennifer and all their brothers and sisters can find much contentment and happiness in the future.
@0xf7c8
@0xf7c8 Жыл бұрын
I don't feel the sentence was enough. This is much more than "simple homicide", comparative wise. This is literally killing 12 children, socially, economically, mentally and almost phisically. That none of those kids died its a miracle with all the infections around there, without vaccines or any medical care. The sentence is morally not enough. This is not crazy people. It was very much premeditated.

I honestly see that as them thriving in every way they can and know how. It hurts to see that, but in a way, I feel so inspired by them and in awe of their empowerment as individuals. I think it's sweet how they were so determined to express themselves, despite the fact that it hurt to even think about such horrible events. I thankfully never dealt with trauma to that degree; however, I am dealing with trauma from helping my dad try to survive from catching on fire. But never this. What is clear is that they have thousands of people around the globe showing them genuine unconditional love! Each sister has a huge handful of fans that are there daily for them & simply with them. Myself, I love how Jennifer is using her platforms, so much variety she is sharing of her life & it's astounding getting to watch her grow! She does share sad times as well! Being an old lady of 71, Justin B. was never on my musical appreciation list, but to a 'caged' and terrified girl, his videos brought alive a world of light and happiness that the unknown parts of her yearned for. Secondly, BRAVO to the young man who candidly and with genuine human interest questioned Jordan on her social media video; he brought her additional enlightenment and the epiphany of validation, which gave her the brave incentive to act. Never underestimate where powerful suggestions may come from. And Hooray to Jordan and Jennifer for their careful planning and sisterly love.

I’m not buying the entirety of the story. What I’m thinking that happened is that the parents are hoarders and had way too many kids. Would chain the kids up at night or whenever for whatever reason. Maybe the kids would be physically fighting, sneaking food, or just being chaotic. Not saying it’s right, but I don’t think the parents true intentions were to chain them up like prisoners, but more as some messed up time-out. Wouldn’t be surprised if this girl in the video was helping or had special privileges over her siblings. You can almost guarantee that most, if not all, of those kids have developed into sociopaths. Especially this girl in the video. I was diagnosed with ASPD years ago, what you would call psychopathy, and I can tell when someone else is one as well. I can just tell by the eyes: how they seem to be void, or hyper-focused on something, and I can pick up on when someone’s facial features are not matching up with how their eyes are. Hard to explain, but the eyes are way more telling than anything else, if you know what to look for. A “normal” person would not want to be putting themselves out there like this, especially after something this traumatic. But she is able to do so, that’s the lack of fear/anxiety/nervousness and I can see how narcissistic she is, just by the way to watches herself singing when they played it. Would not be surprised if her parents actually groomed her to be their little helper in torturing and imprisoning her siblings.

@Aaron Julca That is an interesting theory; however, evidence of the truth proves otherwise. I don't know if you watched the previous videos before this one or the entire documentary on 2020, but if you did, you'd know that the parents gave the older siblings phones in order to communicate with them and even tattle on their younger ones for stepping out of line. Jordan stole one of the phones and would watch things like High School Musical and Justin Bieber interviews/MVs, which made her realize that their life was in fact not normal. Lastly, did you ever think that maybe she talks robotically because she wasn't in school for majority of her life? Or maybe because she didn't have any normal socialization? When the cops met her at first even thought this was just another runaway case because of the way she presented the information. But in reality, she was just scared and didn't know how to express her fear, as well as the information necessary in order for her to save her family. It's kind of like the Gypsy Rose Blanchard case. She never ran away because she believed her mother did these things for her because she loved her. She thought that was normal, and again, she clearly did not know how to go about her situation, since she did not have a lot of human socialization. She was also lied to about her age for her entire life, and forced into acting younger than she actually was. A similar situation in where young people were forced into situations they thought were right, solely because they didn't know anything otherwise.

I grew up in a hoarded home. Taken home from the park when the other kids came. Stuff that I have alot of similarities with these kids. I wasnt chained up. But as someone who can see the truth in their parents. Its that parents like this dont teach kids what is normal. The parents cant rationalize their own disease. So there is no education of the other homes. Since they never go anywhere. I had other family we saw once in a while before being told not to visit them. They always blamed me for it. Why we werent invited to holidays anymore. But i always though others lived in hoarded homes. You are a product of the situation. And its a stockholme syndrome that tells you this is reality. Deal with it. .. but my parents to this day. Just make any excuse for their mental illnesses n blame me.

I have a 7 years old sister and I just couldn’t imagine that someone this age would be treated so horrible. I’m stunned hearing this whole case but I’m also happy that they survived it and are moving on. I wish them very best so their dreams come true!!

I think that’s why the older sister may have had it the worst. Being an older sister of two and I protected my sisters from soo much I endured so much so the wouldn’t have too. The thing is I couldn’t protect them from everything me being a child myself and till this day that still hurts.

My daughter just turned 5 in June and I think the same way. I picture her in that situation at her age , it makes me want to break down and cry. So sad and so evil someone could do that to little children let alone their own babies.

I can clearly understand what they have been going through during this time of captivity, because I am a victim and survivor of a long-term kidnapping myself. I was held captive for 21 years and nine months. It was from October in the year of 1969 until the middle of July in the year of 1991! As I heard their own story and what they had endured, I could hear so many similarities of what I have endured in the violent hands of my kidnappers and I can relate so many things more to their own stories they have! Even the thing with this saying sorry for all and everything is the same thing as I am always doing! Simply all and everything what they have been going through was the same as in my case! I hope that these siblings will have a wonderful and peaceful life with all the help they need to get over with this experience they had and that they will have a lot of fun and happiness in the whole future of their lifes and many loving people who cares for them all together! Peace, love and harmony from Sarah!

Wish you peace and everything you wish for yourself. You are an amazing person. My parents (J.W's) kept me locked up in my room for nearly 14 years. Not a story i will relate here but i understand the scars from personal experience also, and some details are just too horrible for me to try and express to this day. But i also, survived and learned to thrive in my own way, and at 57 yrs old i can now say that what doesn't kill you makes you grow and so much stronger. You will forever have a different perspective on life. Happy holidays to the whole world.

it's amazing how jordan's brain was essentially preparing her for what she needed to do. It amazes me despite how she was raised to behave, she knew that it was wrong. Many people believe that people can be brainwashed into behaving a certain way, but seeing how isolated she was and that she still knew something was wrong makes me realize that there is a fundamental human morality that we all have.

@@therealdarklizzy but you are wrong. There is not a fundamental humanity all people have, otherwise these children wouldn't be subjected to abuse in the first place. Likewise, the rise of modern-day slavery and exclusionary identity politics those that plenty of people do not have an inch of morality in them and that sociopathy is greatly rewarded in society. These children are proof of the goodness that is capable, but to assume everybody as something good inside of them is truly dangerous.

@@stealthis I believe you are incorrect. They have the same awareness of good and evil. The same "fundamental human morality". They chose to be evil. They choose to ignore it. The choice they made to be evil doesn't mean they dont possess they same ability to be moral they just choose not to. They're broken inside and choose a path of darkness.
