It’s a very “Guiltless Fun” movie to sit back, watch & not think too hard! 🤔😉 I was surprised to hear in some messages sent to me after doing this video how there is a bunch of people who think this movie was horrible & Clint Eastwood’s worst movie! I don’t feel that way at all, even if it’s not got huge twists or any big surprises it’s a well acted ( if not just slightly predictable) movie that is fun to watch! Kinda like calling it a “Guiltless Fun” film!🎥😁

I just watched Escape From Alcatraz on 4K UHD and it is as awesome as you have said on this video. I'm very happy Paramount and Kino worked together to give us this release. It's an A+ from me and a must own in my opinion!

Yah I agree it’s a fun escapism movie with great acting! I would think WB would be doing a Outlaw Josie Wales 4K in the near future because Kino is doing a bunch of Clint Eastwood other western films in 4K, High Plains Drifter 4K set should arrive soon from Kino for me to do an early analysis & review vid! So I am thrilled that we are getting soo many great 4Ks recently & there’s so much to be excited & thankful for! We are being spoiled with 4Ks right now!

@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia i’m thinking WB will release that soon. i’ve seen every Clint Eastwood movie in the theater starting from every which way but loose I was 10 years old at the time all the way to grand Torino with one exception I honestly can’t remember if I saw escape from Alcatraz at the theater or not I just remember seeing it so many times on cable so it’s possible I’ve never seen it in widescreen, so I’m really looking forward to the 4K john

I was 9 years old when this film was released in theaters and I got to see it 3-4 times. I love this film and I’m so glad that it got a solid 4k release. I have it preordered through Amazon so hopefully I get it on release day! Your reviews are thorough and great and always look forward to them! I can’t wait for the Death Wish 4k release! I just purchased this film on Blu-ray upgrading it from my standard DVD and I thought it looked pretty decent but now you have me thinking of upgrading it once again this being one of my favorite films alongside and I wish one of these companies would put it on 4K The Outlaw Josey Wales

🎞I would venture to say we will see Once Upon A Time in the West 4K UHD here in the next year or two! As far as The Godfather it’s already been released in an outstanding 4K restoration by Francis Ford Coppola & American Zoetrope Restoration team. So it doesn’t need another 4K release, Francis Ford & his team did an outstanding job on the 4K already! I talked directly with the head archivist who oversaw & worked on the restoration directly with Francis Ford Coppola & he oversaw & approved everything to match his originally intended visions! Hi James, The Godfather Saga has many many many scenes that were removed from the first and second theatrical cuts of Godfather films. Fan's of the Godfather Saga would love to have the longer cuts of the films released on HBO. Kino Lorber should consider The Godfather Saga for a 4K Ultra HD release since Paramount missed that opportunity on their big box set release earlier this year. Hey James have a great day.
