Tough story. The alcohol really made it appear like Bijon was the problem. Wish he could’ve curbed his drinking while dealing with the harassment, but it probably helped in the short term dealing with anxiety.

You would think the alcohol would have been the one thing that helped him bond with the others living in that council. 😅but apparently, that didn't happen.

The police should make their own conclusions using their investigative techniques instead of just listening to racist loser neighbors. What’s wrong with people?! Even if you believe the rumors, you are the police and should know to investigate before convicting him. Had they done that, maybe he’d still be alive today. They completely failed this man. 😢

Simply cruel and there is no justification. I think it's those who exploit the system and don't contribute anything themselves who feel most threatened. Unbelievable how these useless police officers treated this person.

I hate that they censored the word pediophile! It’s just a word. People don’t have to watch it if it’s a trigger word. You know what they are saying and it’s just a distraction from the video.

Persians are extremely friendly people and love all children by treating all as their own. They’re also a very well behaved culture so seeing that trash drinking and looking like he just climbed out of a dumpster while looking after a child would have been very disturbing to Bijan. Persians also talk with their hands, he was not disrespecting that police officer by intentionally pointing. I think there may have been a mental health component as well for Bijan. Poor misunderstood man. RIP 💞 Duffy is a delusional narcissist.

Poor man escaped Iran to be killed in Britain... Bijan definitely was a vulnerable person, and who knows what he suffered back in Iran. It seems that indifference killed the man. Not just indifference of those cops, but of the environment at large. Nobody cared...until it was too late.

We didnt commit a crime to be born with black and brown skin. We are humans and we come to your country because we want a better life for ourselves and our families. Have some compassion for your fellow humans. "I'm talking to you as a friend" Rest in peace Bijan!

Basically he was a bit of a pain but the police should’ve had much more respect and patience, he should never EVER have died the way he did

He shouldn't have died , period. But I get what you're saying.

A bit of a pain? The man was being persecuted, and no one seemed to care. I can only hope you never find yourself in a similar situation where you realise no one is coming to help you. Not even those whose job it is to protect you from hostile forces.

As an immigrant Persian, sadly but clearly I can see how cultural differences played a very significant and crucial role in Bijan’s demise: - Iranian’s excessive warm and friendly nature is wrongly being seen by other cultures (others might seen it as being a Pedo..) - TALKING! Iranian are talkative and talk to you like they know you for years (referring to his moments at the police station), or his pointing hand gesture which made the officer mad! Yes, we do use our hands while talking and it absolutely shows nothing bad in our culture! - His naive and unfruitful attempts to get Duffy on the phone, instead of simply calling 999. It shows Iranian are trusting people and tend to believe what you say and see “good” in you! If you tell him Duffy will check up on you, he will believe what you say and don’t consider other options. It’s so sad to see he didn’t or couldn’t adapt himself to the new society and culture. So sad to see the society failed to understand “he is coming from a different background, maybe they need time to know him better”! Even worst, so sad to see all those racists in 21st century! No one wanted to hear his cry for help, intentionally! There are lots to say.. RIP Bijan.. At the end, let’s not disregard the fact that UK police is an absolute failure. It’s not the first time I see such cases of their inability to bring justice to innocent people or defend their rights.

It seems like only that black lady understood him. As she let her daughter visit his flat for treats unattended , often. Despite all of the rumors about him being a pedo.

That female officer was terrible,but i also think Bijan was difficult fuelled by alcohol,the mans behaviour got him in trouble
@candycayneАй бұрын
This is so disappointing. Why didn't they just send an officer?? They hear him each time saying he was being threatened and he's scared, there's people there. The cop pulling out bs excuses of not being the only cop, getting other calls, only to hear his own words repeated back to him. I don't want to talk to him, I'm busy, no, I'm not talking to him. Just call the man back, dear God... can't you take into consideration he may not understand the system, he's not from there. Now the man who is calling for help is told "no one is coming". Everyone failed him and now they're grasping for anything to make them look righteous

He was definitely one sandwich short of a picnic and extremely socially challenged. Being a booze artist didn’t help either. When the lady next door was kind to him and tried to make him welcome, he completely misread it - you just can’t be nice to some people.
