Gotta admit, Hawke is super underrated as Bioware Protags go, or as Bioware characters go in general, I really hope that they make an appearance in Veilguard.

Sadly, probably won’t. BioWare confirmed that “the decision of who was left in the Fade” wouldn’t be important in Veilguard. So because of that, if those consequences don’t matter, Hawke probably won’t be around 😢

@@lillacSwing awww, Inquisition decisions I presume? I really need to go back and finish the game, I got stuck grinding the Hinterlands stuff the first time I went there and it sucked a lot of the fun out of my playthrough. I plan on going back and NOT doing that this time.

@@captshavers If grinding made you stop DAI before, then you might wanna stick to just doing main plot stuff next time because all of the maps mostly have you grinding fetch quests just like in the Hinterlands. And for the love of the elven gods, stay out of the Hissing Wastes; it's a big empty desert. The Hissing Wastes' gimmick is that there's literally nothing there, and you walk around for 5 hours looking for a handful of journal pages in the sand. In terms of time spent doing stuff, a DAI completionist run for me was around 100 hours with only around 20 hours being engaging gameplay relevant to the plot while the rest was walking around and grinding. Just something to think about when considering how much time you're willing to devote to it.

DAMMIT CARVER GET OUT OF YOUR SISTER

I read some reviews on DA2 before playing it, which basically said that it is a complete disservice to the masterpiece DAO was. So on my 1st playthrough I was expecting to simply think of this game as a necessary in between in order to understand some things in DAI. But I enjoyed the game far more than I expected and I loved some characters like Varric, Bethany and Isabela, hated some others like Meredith, Orsino, Anders, Petrice, Sebastian, Carver (aka the reason my canon Hawke is a warrior) and Fenris. And others that simply annoy or bore me like Aveline, Tallis and Merill Yes, the game is far more limited than DAO in the choices you can make and in how you can solve problems. Plus, the environment gets really boring really fast. Also, I didn't like the ending, having to choose between 2 sides where all I and my Hawke felt like was to tell them "solve your own shit. I've had enough of being your errand girl and listening to your annoying woes. Goodbye, hope you all die or become mute" But it also has some very interesting characters, even if you don't agree with them at all (looking at you, Merill), some heart wrenching moments you cannot avoid and one you can avoid, but some people mess up. Really satisfying quests like killing fanatic templars or serial killers. The romances are really nice. Plus, sarcastic Hawke has some amazing moments and violent/agressive Hawke summs up my mood with certain characters It may be just me, but I just love how Hawke can end up as an extremely tragic and lonely character if you make certain choices. It's my least favorite game in the saga, but I certainly play it every time I beat Origins with a new Warden. And I also recommend to every new fan to experience it at least once. I loved the warrior class in this game. Basically because I like attacks that can get me out of a circle of enemies (what I call "crowd control") and rogues in this game don't have that. Plus, with the templar specialization you get 50% resistance to magic, so with some attribute points plus that magic no longer hurts you. Also, the warrior armor imo is far cooler than the rogue's.

Ah yes, a dagger straight through a chest plate, chain mail, and many layers of cloth. Truly, the sharpest dagger that only has bonus damage for mercy killing specifically. All kidding aside, it's cool to see another Dragon Age series on here. I unfortunately haven't played 2 and the only DA game that I can get to work is Inquisition. Which is a shame, because I've wanted to play Origins for a while now. Hope everyone is doing well!

If you manage to get DAO working, it's a good idea to get the 4 GB patcher so that the game can better utilize your computer's RAM and fix most crashing issues. How you use the 4 GB patcher will differ depending on whether you play it on Steam or another platform though. If you play on the EA app (formerly known as Origin) then you can just use the patcher on the exe and you're good to go. The steam version has an encrypted exe file however so the patcher doesn't work on it, but there is a Nexus mods page that lets you download an unencrypted exe to replace yours with and then you patch that instead.

Kind of a spoiler, but I don't think it matters. If Hawke doesn't take the twins along on the Deep Roads expedition, is it Carver that turns Bethany in to the Templars? Edit: "The last are beyond you reach" and don't know the Ritual anyways.

No the mod has those events happen the way they would normally so Carver doesn’t turn in Bethany or anything

I enjoyed some parts of the story, and I’m glad some people like the game really. I just find it important to give honest reactions so people know why I might not react if this becomes a full DA 2 Let‘s play But i admit, DA2 wasn’t my cup of tea. I lost my parents early, and you never get over the loss of one parent even. Hence why i felt Hawke‘s pain when we learn what happens to their mother, i guess. That was the moment. I thought, i can’t so this anymore. I can’t finish this game even though it’s just a game. But i simply spoilered myself by watching videos, and for the rest i put the decisions to Dragon age keep, that my character would have made, if i would have finished the game Then i just moved on to DAI and I’m happier with it ❤ I already see a difference to this Video. I modded everything and everyone :D Essential difference: My Hawke character was a mage, Alarie Hawke i named her. Given her class, the game decided to let Bethany die by the hand of the Ogre and she got Carver. :P

Although it may not be perfect, I actually really like Dragon Age 2. I've always chosen to play as fem Hawke cause I love Jo Wyatt's voice work. She provides a spectacular performance in each personality, my personal favourites I like to play as being humorous and aggressive.
