Escaping the Pain: My Disappointment with Insta 360!

In this video, I'll share my disappointment with the Insta 360 Ace Pro camera and why I will be switching back to DJI 4 for my motovlogs. Don't make the same mistake I did, watch this before investing in an Insta 360 Ace pro for your motovlogs to ensure simple audio setups.

Good to know, thanks Jay. I've committed to the DJI eco system, but nearly had my head turned by the Insta Ace Pro because of the Cardo compatibility.

Mate it’s decent footage but biggest seller for me was the possibility of Cardo audio. I will be using it off the bike and as a b roll camera and sticking with my DJI 4 set up. Cheers for view and comment buddy 👍🏻👍🏻

I've always used wired mics other than a brief dabble with the old RODE wirelss jobby a few years back, got fed up with charging devices and the faff of turning it all on. I'm not interesting enough for my mates to want to hear me during a ride, so gave up on the bike comms too hahaha... 😀 My trusty GoPro Hero 10 is still doing the work I need it to, even with a smashed rear screen, so will stick with that until I it dies and then see what is available and the best option. I used to get the latest greatest cameras on launch all the time, and it is such a waste of money to do so. I'll only buy a camera now if I need to replace what I have due to it being broken or if the new thing offers any features that I can't get from what I have already... like when the Insta360 360' cameras fisrt came into play. The Ace Pro looks a cracking camera though, am sure they will sort the firmware out to allow you to use the mic of your choice, they are quite good at sorting updates and listening to their customers, or at least were a couple of years back, which is more than can be said for GoPro.

Thanks Pete and probably the best approach is to replace cameras when they die rather when a new one hits the market. Wow GoPro 10 never of guessed with your video quality but suppose GoPro are prob the best for footage. Thanks for comment 👍🏻👍🏻

I've got the Ace Pro. Great camera, but wish I'd gone for the Action 4 instead as I'm considering the Dji mic 2's.

Where do I get the dead cat mic covers from, I can’t find any for small mics on eBay, they’re all for big mics like karaoke mics etc. what search words do I use?
