This was a really good video. I got addicted to Marijuana, specifically Wax and dabs which is a stronger form of it. I was just using it to escape and not deal with what was inside of me and I got sick of it. I quit and hopefully done with it for the rest of my life. Enjoy it maybe if a friend has it but it can never be something that I do my own or buy, or only on the weekends or the end of the day because that’s all I will think about. I’m glad it wasn’t anything super hard like heroin, cocaine. Anyways. Good video. ❤

Thank you for this nice explanation Matt ! Three points caught my attention : 1. The urge to label feelings 2. The unwillingness to face the unknown and uncomfortable sensations. 3. Meditation and chanting I would like to comment on them and would like to get your response. I got triggered today and I've been wanting to "understand" or "work it out". Perhaps this too is an attempt to escape ? But the attempt to "understand" almost seems noble or "right" ! With regards to chanting, this is a spiritual practice in Bharat(India). Now while I understand that it can be used as a compulsion, it can also be a way to accept those uncomfortable sensations while you chant. What do you think about this ?

I've recently started chanting as part of my mental health plan. I go to a different place, wish I had started this years ago. Best of luck on your voyage.

You talk about what it's like to have OCD. Yet you never give examples of how to apply any techniques. Why?
