Pablo Escobar caused great suffering to my home city, and it's sad to see that almost 30 years after his passing, he's still making us look this bad. Honestly a hybrid currency could be a cool future concept if: - It wasnt managed by a company known for scamming - It was overseen by a government or other authoritative body - The physical notes were more "reusable" and could reverse the money back onto them somehow - The physical notes were more durable and had sufficient security features - And most importantly, had a working exchange system and wide scale support Maybe each note could have a serial number or even a super basic NFC tag on them to record the current status. Load it into your wallet, the NFC tag changes to 0. Convert it back, the NFC tag reads the original value.
