I just wished to say thank you for your other content, its helped a lot especially the automation videos. I can see load shedding happening here in the UK at some point. Just in the last part of my solar build hopefully another 3 weeks it will be working and ordered a new Khadas vlm1 so i can run node red, my present nas wont run it. Yes a sunsynk myself , its been a journey esp working out the earthing, but got there in the end.

Hi @scrapyardwars , I am glad you found the video useful, the regulations regarding earth/neutral bonding are pretty clear in the UK. U need to have a relay in place to create the bond when the inverter is disconnected from the grid. Keith from Sunsynk does a good video on setting it up so that the Inverter closes the relay when the grid is disconnected and you can find it on their channel.

This is an amazing video. I was scratching my head for hours trying to figure out how you at least start using the API for EskonSePush and this video popped up this morning. Thank you so much and well done. I have one interesting question though. On the Calendar you can change the time format, but what do you enter on the line to change it to 24 hours format? I see for the date format you enter LL but what do you enter for time format?

Glad it helped @wimpievandenberg4996, we sure need some help with all the changes in the Load Shedding levels etc. To be totally honest I have no idea how to change the date/time format as my coding knowledge is limited but am sure it is pretty simple. I just copied the code over from Werners Github page :-). I would suggest either having a look on the Github page or maybe asking ChatGPT to change your code for you so that it changes it to 24hr format and see what it says.

Thank you for the video. It's easy enough to follow, but then it finishes without explaining how to bring it all together? Where do we run the YAML code (sorry, still a newbie to HA), how do we setup the Mushroom Cards, etc. At this point, I only have the basic LoadShedding card added to my default dashboard, which is plain and boring. How do we find out more? I'm trying to create a dashboard and add the Mushroom card, but it's not found... although it is in my HACS Frontend.

Is anyone able to add an area? My block changed and I can't seem to add an area, even tried reinstalling.

Hi @taariqbenn2065 , I would advise to check out the Github page for the integration and see if anyone can answer your question there. You will find a link to it in the document section of the integration

My area has changed load-shedding blocks. What's the process to update my Home assistant integration with the new area?

If you reconfigure it, it will ask you for the area you are in. If your area has not changed, then ESP should just update HA with the latest blocks when it does another query to the server (assuming the ESP server has been updated).

How does one do the Postman requests to find their suburb?

Best is to use the ESP app on your phone

Uninstall and then re-install again to change the suburb to the new one

I must be missing something. My data keeps saying unavailable or off. the setup goes as planned and api key is excepted and all the extra integrations etc is installed. I even changed the sensors to my area ( sensor.load_shedding_area_eskde_5_gordonsbaycityofcapetownwesterncape ). have reinstalled it but I am missing something,

Check your API sensor and see what it says sensor.load_shedding_sepush_api_quota

@@SolarIntegrations It does show that and does not give error there but I see there is a error at entity Eskom stage that says “ This entity is no longer being provided by the load_shedding integration. If the entity is no longer in use, delete it in settings.”
