What happens sometimes is that the group doen's feel like singing, they get shy :( especially now that we're having to teach online. What do you think I can do to make them interested in singing and doing the actions?
@MooncakeEnglish4 жыл бұрын
Hi Manoela, thanks for watching! I have also faced a few classes like this in the past and I have used reward systems to motivate students. For example, I might bring one sticker to class and explain before starting that the best singer of the day will get the sticker at the end. Or I might split the class into two teams and give points throughout the class for good singing. The important thing is to then encourage students as soon as they show even a small improvement. I hope that helps!

Hello ma'am.. I am going to give my first demo class on 28th of January for kg class...and this warm up would be a kick start because I am thinking to chose the topic sense organs.. this video gave me confidence but I am also little nervous that if I chose the topic is right or wrong.. also I am nervous that if the kids will sing or not cause this will be the first interaction of me and the kids.. Thank you for this session ma'am.. :)
@MooncakeEnglish4 жыл бұрын
Hi Aditi, thanks for watching, and welcome to the Mooncake community! Do you know the age group and English level of the students you will be teaching? Choosing a topic for the demo class can be tricky if you don't know the students. I would suggest asking the interviewer for an idea of their level and some recent topics that they may have studied. Remember that in a demo class the interviewer will want to see how you manage the class and see how students respond to you, you don't need to be teaching new information. In fact, sometimes it can be better to teach below their level so that it's easier to get students speaking during the demo. I actually have a few videos with some demo tips, you can find them here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmS0hmlprZaBsNk kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2icfoGmeaagZ7M I hope that helps!
